Why spend $1500-$2000 just for a name? Gibson guitars aren't better than most other brands. Gibson guitars are waaaay overated and over priced. My B.C. Rich Warlock sounds just as good, if not better, than any Gibson I've seen or played.

thats actually really true... tbh... Gibsons just a name... its like the (spam) of Guitars... theres other brands out just as good... but you buy the label

It's more what guitarists have used these types of guitars than anything. Although that is true, playing a Gibson gives you a sense or a feeling that you're playing just as good as those people who were famous for playing it before you. Infamous guitarists such as: bob dylan, ace frehley, david gilmour, kirk hammett, jimi hendrix, eddie van halen, angus young, and many many more very excellent guitarists.

That's why people pay the extra $$$ for it.
