Most people never read stuff like I posted, so to react with disgust doesn't mean you're weakminded. I was shocked when I first read those because I really never realized just how graphic they were. Seriously, that paints quite the vivid picture.

Also, you can't blame people for not wanting to think of someone who "saw his organs collapse" amongst other things.

But listening to it without discerning what the lyrics are is fun in my opinion. Not really something that I would consider to be good music but I won't deny the novelty. Although AC is my shock band of choice.

my point above all else is, you shouldn't get offended by something that you don't have to listen to. no one is making you listen to it, just don't listen to it if you don't like it

If I ever learn to drive, you don't wanna get in a car with me then. :p Also, might as well just say I feel almost no level of disgust towards them lyrics you posted. (Feel free to call me a freak, a psycho, whatever). Okay, if I saw it actually happen, I probably would, but just imagining it, not really.

Ai, but then again reading most things is like reading books for me, it's just boring.

T3HM3T4L:I've tried to sign up for Rock Band but they just won't allow me. They keep complaining I have to 'be over 18' while I've already been 18 for over half a year, and a sign up where I noted I was born in the '50s STILL GAVE ME THAT MESSAGE

So if anyone could help me get these templates, I'd very much appreciate it. I need it to edit notes and stuff for my Rock Band 2.

aander91:Sorry, but that'd be providing for minors, which is illegal.

T3HM3T4L:But I'm 18 years old... ?

aander91:Nope. Sorry.

T3HM3T4L:Nono, you're getting me wrong, I was asking how come I am still considered a minor?

aander91:Look, we can't just go out giving these things away to people who just say they're over 18 and show no proof, we'd be out of a job.

T3HM3T4L:Nevermind, I'll use EoF for it, I found the way I could use it for that.

Garbage? Geez. I thought this wasn't a "bash another genre/band because You don't like it" thread.

Also, I really don't see why anyone would get upset at words...

Spoiler:I really do know what you mean though. It's like how Justin Beiber is just terrible, and every record company he went to knew that. Then Usher helped him, so they then knew they could make money off of Beiber's crap. << Ambiguity

So let me get this straight RS, it's a-OK to say other stuff is crap, but once you touch anything metal, it's foul play?

Double Standard much?

Oh wow. Sorry bout that I guess, I hadn't read the thread since the part where we agreed no matter the genre, music that talked only about parties, booze and sex was stupid.
But anyway I don't see, where else in this thread have I said something else?

What? How can you "respect" that kind of music.
I'm not saying they are bad. I love the sounds of most 80's rock. I'm also not saying they aren't influential to other types of rock or metal.
But really, I see no reason to have respect for music that talks about sex, parties and alcohol (also, I'm not naming any band. I know there are loads of exceptions, etc. I'm just generalizing, lol stereotypes).
It's sh*t... but good sh*t.

Double standards? Naw bro.
--------------------------------------
Anyway, talking about "getting upset by words". Seriously, I mean, they are lyrics. They may have been upsetting, I don't know, when I was 8 years old. But, they are just, words. "GUTS; RAPING CHILDREN, BLOOD BLOOD!"
If you actually manage to picture every single detail of what they are describing in some sort of photorealistic way, then let me tell you. You are the creep.

That wasn't serious. Also, who said you can't touch anything metal?

We're not actually upset, I just find the imagery disturbing.

Also, if you can read lyrics and not visualize a setting and action, then you probably can't read the language that it's written in. Come on.
