This argument is quickly heading south guys. To summarize: Sony has said they are AIMING for the 31st for a full restoration of the PSN. All this means is they hope it'll be up by then, not that it WILL be up by then. I'm pretty sure this is what both of you were saying or were intending to say.


Anyway, I'd be really surprised if the PSN became a pay-for service. Yeah, the hack was really bad, but I don't see it being "lets change our entire business model" bad.

Playstation Plus isnt a Pay-to-play service like Live Gold. It's an extra service with a subscription. Think of it as the private booth at a gentlemen club (assuming you younger people know what i mean), you get all the same services out in the club, you just get more inside the booth.

Since analogies are the official language of FOF-FF, isn't it more like Sams Club, where you pay to pay. Like, if you buy FF7 with Plus, it's not like it provides 12x more orgasms (if you younger people know what I mean [since flaunting maturity seems to be in as well] ).

all it does is give you early access to demos occasionally, "exclusive sales ((paying to get sales) XBLA does the same garbage)" and "free demos of full games (also known as slightly longer demos)" the only REAL feature is cloud saves which are only relevant if you have multiple PS3s

So apparently the PSN is back up for developers, including online games. (Source.) This, at least as I see it, says that it'll probably only be a few more days until it's at least partially online for everyone else.
