who can play guitar? - any one?

Actually, rock does not need too much of learning. Only the solos are the hard parts of the song. You just have to have a little musical skills, so u can really play something, and then u just learn to play the chords, (try to learn all those things what u need) and power chords are used a lot in rock. And then u just learn to play some songs, and get your fingers trained, and then u learn to play your OWN solos. There you go. And there is some songs, that have something else than chords in the song - oh well, u can learn those later.


I have played acustic guitar for 6 years, and electric for 3 years. I have been in two bands, and now I am in one band. (3rd of mine)

And by the way: I have learned to play myself.

I have an acoustic guitar (Ibanez artwood) that I'm learning to play. Now that I know how difficult it is to play guitar, I have a lot of respect for you guitar players. Besides guitar, I've been playing trumpet for about 15 years or so.

I first started to learn how to play when I was three years old. I was inspired by the first movie I ever saw: Wayne's World (Party Time! Excellent!). my family moved when I was 5, my guitar got put in the basement, and I haven't picked it up since. Needless to say, I can't play now. I've been thinking of taking up Bass Guitar though. (w00t! I'm the 100th person who can't play guitar! \o/)

I got an acoustic, self-training as of now. Basically all I can do for now is Smoke On The Water intro and that's just about it. Sadly I mean the one-string version.

Also I'm a lefty, but I play as a righty on FoF, and I have a righty guitar, so that's not gonna help me at all, haha. Unless I force myself into using my right hand for guitar, since I'm still new at it.

i'm buying a guitar as soon as i get money which will probally be when i get my job >> ive played violin for years so i assume guitar shouldnt be that hard, i would just need to get used to the strings notes which are obviously different but once i learn that i guess i could play anything since playing fast on the violin is easy (lots of shifting and what not and i know from experiance with violin that plucking is easy, and i learned from experiance with mandolin that picks arent so i would just pluck it if people even do that). so does this look like a good guitar http://www.amazon.com/Metalli....5064450

I got a guitar from my brother's friend for about 30 dollars 2 weeks ago. I'm on lesson seven on guitar.about.com(great site to learn) and memorized about 26 chords. Not bad if I do say so myself.

My dad can play the first couple of notes from Love Song, by Tesla, but I can't play at all on a guitar but i am pretty good at trumpet-yeah i am a nerd ... so i guess my guitar is collecting dust hehehe
