Re: OnLive
One of the biggest problems I hear about OnLive is that you don't necessarily get to 'keep' what you pay for. If your account goes inactive for a year, you lose all of the stuff you paid for. So if you drop $50 bucks for unlimited access to a game, you would lose your access to play that.

That said, I may look into it a bit one day if I get curious.

Re: OnLive
That sounds... awful. Jama.
What I don't like is not owning my games :/
And also, who knows what kind of resolution the stream will have.

It claims high-def. I agree with jama, having to pay to use their service, and then having to pay to rent the games is a bit steep... Maybe once it's proven that the system works, and they realize their current pricing scheme isn't working, I'll check it out.

Isn't this that one service that supposedly had Crysis running on a piece of sh*t computer at 60 FPS to show off their pitch?

Yarp. There was a similar service - don't think it was OnLive, but it used the same basic principle - that had WoW running on an iPad.

The problem is, They do that around their servers so you think they actually work that way.
When you get it, it won't run as nicely as they've shown you.
Re: OnLive
INPUT LAG THE ONLINE SERVICE!
Seriously, any input lag is unacceptable. I would like to try this but i'm not wasting a cent on it.

Re: OnLive
Well, I just got it (good thing I haven't spent money), and it doesn't come with a game, you have to buy all the games, but you can play demos free of course. I haven't tried it but I will in just a sec.
EDIT:The demo is a free 30 min trial of the game, and the graphics are garbage compared to what my computer can actually run (*cough*Crysis all setting Very High*cough*), but I guess they need to to be able to instantly stream the game. The streaming was fine btw, and it loaded pretty fast. This would be good for people with bad computers, but I would much rather prefer buying games off of something like Steam. I don't recommend it if you have a gaming computer.
