Post what concerts you have been to and maybe even a review or some stories of the event. I figured a lot of people in this forum like music seeing as how FoF is a music game, so this thread seemed like a good idea.

I'll start first

1st concert I ever went to- Rolling Stones: Bridges to Babylon tour.
I'd say I was about 13 at the time so I didnt really know much about the stones but it was still an awesome show because my uncle and cousin were cool enough to take me.

-Big 10 year gap of no concerts-

A few months ago
Disturbed: Music as a Weapon 3 tour.
Ok Im not a huge fan of Disturbed, like I don't own any of their albums but I dont mind hearing them on the radio every now and then, but my gf wanted to see them so I tagged along. It was a cool show, they had some ok openers like Flyleaf and Stone Sour (still not huge fans of either of them)

Yesterday
Static-X: ( I think it was called the "Cannibal Killers Tour")
Static-X is ok, but again my gf wanted to go because thats her favorite band. I actually liked this one better than the Disturbed tour because it was in a smaller venue. Felt like one of the clubs in GH or something lol. Plus I got to see Otep and I actually like them. I live near Nashville which is where I go for all my concerts and 2 bands from Nashville opened before Otep. They were "War Within" and "In Vitro"

War Within were actually a really good band, and In Vitro were... different. They came out with masks made of tin foil and lab coats, but if they turned down the amps and whatnot so I could actually HEAR the music instead of having my ears ring for 20 minutes they might have been good.

Well thats it so far, I WAS going to go see All That Remains in Nashville in March but I got a flat tire on the way there and had to miss it. Needless to say, I was PISSED because I love that band.

Im hoping to see Opeth in concert the next time they tour but they never come to Nashville so Ill probably have to drive to Atlanta for that...

Flyleaf... i really want to see them... anyway, i've only been to 3 concerts, an Eowyn concert, with Elias and Evidence, i then went to see Elias again the next weekend, and then i went to a Cross Culture (they changed their name but i can't remember what they changed it to...) concert with Roads to Rome. if anybody here has heard of these bands i will be extremely surprised.

a few years ago i saw Metallica ( i think it was the St anger tour) that was good. 8,000 people and we were 3 rows from the front ! i still have one of james plecktrums somewhere.

about 3 months ago i saw Faithless, my mate was doing a review for a magazine so we got to meet ( and he interviewed) DJ sister bliss ( didos' sister i think )

and about 2 months ago, i went to see My chemical romance, ( but that was a bit ****) so we left after only half the concert.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention this, but like I said, Static-X is my gfs favorite band and of course she's totally in love with Wayne Static (the lead singer). Between every few songs he'd say "lets do some shots" and a guy would bring out some plastic cups and they'd drink (I think it was kool-aid) and the last time they did it they threw their cups out to the crowd and I just so happened to be right where Wayne threw his. All I had to do was hold my hand up and it flew right into it. Of course that got me major kissy points with my girl, and she was freaking out about it the whole time.

I saw a couple of things...my first big show was pearl jam on their tour for some older album...it was actually crappy there was like 20 000 people singing along...well anyway. Saw Sonic Youth once...it was so damn crazy...at that time I was a big big big fan...it was in montreal and I was hanging around the city for a couple of days with a friend...took a hell lot of mescaline and slept a couple of days in the streets (really hot summer though), at one point of the show I felt like my heart was going to stop beating...one of my best musical experience ever, being deaf for 3days after! I've also been at the FIMAV (festival international de musique actuelle de Victoriaville) in 2006 ...26 shows in 3 days...it was really awesome...I heard stuff there, you wouldn't believe...Hijokaidan! it was so loud! I really suggest this japanese improv-noise band...

talking about improv-noise...I had a band for a couple of years...one night we were playing and I was not eating and sleeping enough, taking too much alcool and "stuff", I lost consciousness while we were playing, felt in some sort of ethylic coma beside the drums...at some point they were thinking I was doing some theatrical stuff 'cause we were playing experimental music...all in all I'm still alive :;):

I saw this summer...

Rush-it's Rush thy're always awesome...AND they played Subdivisions. I think the word is "Audiosex".

Police-I like the Police, especially they Synchronicities. But they didn't play those! Arghhh...they were okay. They definitely lost it a lot and Sting was swearing up a storm. That was a little unnecessary.

Styx-I wasn't originally a big fan but they WERE SO FREAKIN' EPIC!

Boston-Musically they were awesome, but Styx totally stole the show. (They were touring together.)

Yes, then they went in for a little jam bit to close and played the riff from Cygnus (which is my favorite song ever) so I yelled up and yelled "ZOMFGCYGNUSX-1!!!1`1!!" and then they left. That's okay, it was still epic as...double headed bass.
