Strange downloading issue... have you had it?

Postby blessedmain911 » Sat Jan 24, 2009 9:31 pm

For some reason I just cannot download one file from any file sharing site (rapidshare, megaupload, mediafire, etc). Also I've tried downloading it from every computer in my house and it still does not work. It downloads to about 70% then stops. I am beginning to think I need someone to download the file for me then re-pack it along with something else to make it bigger then rename the file and upload it somewhere else. Here's the thread I've been talking about:

I've been wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, what did you do to fix it?

That's strange. I've never had it, and I haven't heard of anyone else who did. Have you tried looking it up on Google to find a way to fix it?
I am too lazy to come up with a decent signature. So if you are reading this, I'm not giving you any time of your life back.

Yup. I've googled it using many different combinations of words but to no avail. I really have no idea. I've tried resetting my router and my modem; nothing. I've tried from both wireless and ethernet; nothing. And as stated before I've tried downloading it from RapidShare, MegaUpload, and Mediafire; nothing. I've tried renaming the file; nothing. However, I have been able to download multiple 100Mb files or any other size for that matter. I'm afraid it has something to do with the size and/or the name. I have also tried looking for the same file but uploaded with a different name, but once again to no avail. I'm still afraid that my only option is to have someone else download it, add something to it to make it larger, then re-upload it with a different name.

Hmm... it may be your computer.

Have you been mass pirating software, music, etc.? If so, your IP address could be blocked from full downloads. Happened to me until I moved :P
