What should I make my custom drum set out of?

Postby wuxingwarrior3 » Thu Dec 11, 2008 3:57 pm

I was thinking about legos! i can build the body of each drum (snare, high tom, low tom) out of legos and glue them together to make it permanent. I would have to figure out some kind of membrane to throw on top of each drum to strike with the drum stick. Other than that, it should be cake. The crash and hi hat can probably be made out of a thin layer of legos themselves. Any thoughts? Suggestions for a strikable membrane? Suggestions of another type of custom drum set? Can anyone tell me what the hell kydex is and how it can be used as a drum membrane?
