Hey guys, I will pop in and out randomly now. Sorry I've been gone for so long. Can't promise that I will be a regular anymore, but I most likely will be in the future.
Anyways to the point. I favor Gibson. I like the griddy sound and the over all style of the Gibson Les Paul and SG.
I don't like the slightly wider fret board of the Fender Strat.

Gibson. SG has a greater range of sounds (Angus Young goes from HardRock to Blues in notime), plus Humbuckers. That's really all there is too it. Is humbuckers. All though, I gotta say the Telecaster is awesome, it's just overshadowed by the strat. I hate strats, they always sound the same, there's no variations. Not like the LP or SG.
I don't think gibson is better known. The Stratocaster is one of the defining images in rock and roll.

Why am I on this website? I'm clearly over the age limit of 14.

I go with fender because I love my stratocaster...though Gibson just released an hyper guitar with a really really nice digital pickup...developping a new system to manage the signal and all...if I had a couple of thousands bucks loose in my pocket, I'd be out to the store right now!!

Wait digital pickup, does that mean I could make my Gibson sound like a Fender, nice and clean? Honestly, as stupid as this sounds, I hate the idea, does it matter weather you geta Gibson or Fender now, soon I guess you'll just be shopping for style soon.

see the HD6X . I think the idea is really interesting...6 separate outputs, one for each string. If you like guitar you cannot hate that unless you're some kind of real "deep in the heart"-vintage-guitarist but if it were really the case, you probably would not be on a forum for a game that pretend to be simulating playing guitar by holding your keyboard upside-down!!

Ive got a Gibson Les Paul standard and a Yngwie Strat
but i play my Ibanez s370 a whole lot more than any of them
ive had it customized,
Bottom 8 Frets are Scalloped ive Had a Edge pro bridge put on and had the standard pickups replaced with Dimazio Evo pickups new springs on trem,
My friend is selling his Roland Gk gear thinking of adding that on too.
Ibanez all the way
