Hi I'm from mexico, and right now i have a personal project of making my own jukebox, so, i was searching in Mercado - Libre ( the latin american version of e-bay ) the parts that I need for my jukebox, but I found this item:
http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM ... tiempo-_JM
that is an arcade made with a modded FoF version that uses credits ( like a ordinary arcade machine )
the special about this mod, is that works with credits, so if you wanna play , you have to enter a credit, and if you don't success playing the song, you are kicked out and cannot play until you introduce another credit, if you success playing the song you are allowed to play until you fail.
check the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2Aiz1zpCzk
i think is the MFH mod but with a modification, i'm quite sure that this mod is available somewhere in internet, but i cannot identify which mod is
anyone could help?
I already search in many forums, but cannot find this mod
would be a great idea built my own arcade using FoF so that why i'm looking for this mod, imagine having a party at home and for enterteinment having an arcade of FoF
thanks in advance

That's caused by the camera. Look at the actual pictures and you'll see.
There's probably a py module out there for this.

Yeah, that machine is running Alarian Mod.
That's not 8.200 dollars...
8.200 pesos mexicanos = 572.156 USD
It's still a ripoff...

Re: Arcade mod to use credits
ok, we are progressing we identify that is the alarian mod, but what about the credits?
where to find that special module that makes FoF works with credits.
I tryed to contact the guy who is selling the arcade, I posted a question in the product page in Mercado Libre asking about the license of the software (if runs over windows or linux) and about the mod, but he refuses to answer and even he delete the question.
and by the way if anyone wants to buy the arcade, as i said i live in mexico, I you send the money I could buy it for you and send it to usa in a cargo company.

cabinet just for FoFiX? for that much money... boring and a rip off. cost to ship that to the US would be huge too.
I personally don't see the novelty in having a cabinet coin-op for personal use; but that's me.... if you wanted to risk using a machine like that for commercial use then I guess that would be cool but .....
My cabinet which is a hybrid; mame, virtual pinball, jukebox all coin-operated if I wanted it to be and only cost me $300 for everything minus computer which I had anyways... and it does all that plus all the emu's and FoFiX.... isn't coin-op but meh; how he did that is beyond me, must of scripted it himself because obviously that's not something included in any version of FoF that I know of; mods included. Normally when stuff is made for arcades (like say virtual pinball) it's programmed to have a coin/token button for configuration which can be easily configured to a cherry switch on either a button or if you like inserting coins; setting it to the coin door mechanism. That part wouldn't be too hard to add it's just like another button but to make it so that you need to enter tokens per song or like on fails etc. is another thing.
Basically only person who would know is the person who made it; and since you can't contact him; just hope he reads these forums
Either that or pay off MFH to make you a custom arcade version of FoFiX.

While the code itself is open source, it's not illegal to make money of it by selling it like this, however it it illegal to imrpove on the code and sell that without giving out the code itself free of charge (I hope I got the GPL right else this sentence might be invalid). So if you ask for the code he HAS to give it to you.

(k)Ubuntu 8.10 skyscraper 2.6.27-11-generic i686 GNU/Linux KDE 4.2.0
