FoFiX on Windows 7

Postby Funk_Man62 » Mon Mar 02, 2009 8:04 am

Is it supposed to work good on Windows 7, because it works fine on my other vista partition.

It actually ran much better on Windows 7 compared to how it runs on XP; at least from what I've seen.

I played a lot on W7 x64 and worked really great!

Better than Vista, but I don't know about XP. I have years without using it.

Cheers!

Weird everyone is saying it runs great on windows 7. I just installed windows 7 a couple days ago and finally gotten around to getting Frets on Fire(i dled this megapack with all songs) And fofix was working GREAT on vista but on windows 7 it was laggy as hell. Couldn't play one note. I fiddled around with the settings even tried to use the basic megalight theme and was still laggy. Im going to try to just download a normal version and add songs and see if that works.

Try installing the manufacturer's Vista drivers, even if there was a driver included in 7.

The drivers included in 7 tend to be awesome at Direct3D but crap at OpenGL.

I'm having some problems with songs that have vocals in them on Windows 7. Is this a known problem, or am I just an unlucky *on of a *itch?

It works just fine for me with Windows 7. It's probably a driver or hardware issue.

Playing on Windows 7 x64 and x32 with v3.121 without problems!

Maybe your drivers or something like that.

I had FoFiX running slow as hell since I installed windows7 but yes, it seems like the graphics card needs to be updated with the latest drivers and it no longer poses a threat.

It's not bad pc.
