Yeah, the idea was brought up already. It would be a good idea to have one with all the required files at minumum, and which files CAN be used if existing. I'll start one, and we'll use that as a base, since i'm not 100% sure myself of all the if/exists files, and we'll build on that. I'm assuming we can use the 'Megalight' as the base for required files right? Then the rest for extra's.

I tried that with the audio files but was wrong... but it's a reasonable start. I assume you know more about the graphics overall with your having a theme, and any edits can be made as we find we were wrong.

worldrave wrote:Not anymore. Look at commit SVN r817. I made a code change, so now FoFiX uses all star1-4 images, with fallback to use star1 and star2 in they don't exist. Star3 and Star4 are used for the Song Selection Screen, and Star1 and Star2 for the Game Results screens.

right on, i'll check that out :)

i'll help with the useable files wiki if i can

will it include how they work ingame like scaled, sectioned, tiled or which files have to be upside down

Finished the majority of the basic's. Now I just need to go back and add 'What the file is' and also add all the non-required files. If you guys want to help, just go through using the Megalight, and delete a file and see if it crashes due to not being there, then email me your findings, that way i will know for sure which files AREN'T required. Then i can go from there. And if you want to add the 'used for' so i can easily copy and paste over the 'WIP' fields. And Thanks!!

Edit- Not quite sure yet about the last field "Which Theme", since if the image IS required by default, according to which default provided Theme? I guess i could put "Megalite GH3" or "Megalite" to cover both those for required images. I think maybe we need to touch up the Megalite GH3 SVN theme since some files aren't used in GH3.

Yeah I grabbed the 3.1b1 last week and trashed the old one with out saving my preferences. Simply dragging the old fretsonfire.ini to the new one keeps all my prefs and still lets me select new stuff, right? <--stupid question, just being safe.

Sometimes you can, if you have any problems though you have to start with the new.ini that comes with the beta 2 download again...

With so many new features and changes probably best to start with a fresh .ini

I used to keep my old .ini but started to run into problems, the first thing to do if you experience any problems is to use the new .ini that comes with the beta 2 its probably safer anyway. with the new menu layout it only take a couple of minutes to setup again.

The new menu organization is incredible! I also love that you (MFH) have been optimizing the code to allow the game to run better, I have never seen FoF perform so well. Keep it up!

this is probably a stupid thing to ask, but do you think in the near future, do you think we will have animated hit rows for the fret buttons?
