Bowstar, if you could eliminate the divx watermark in stages2-4 in the space background that'd be cool. It's a bit distracting in Rock Band type themes 'cause there's nothing there. Still, very good though, thanks. :D

I read through all the posts and saw the "in options set stages to random or w.e he said" but i dident even have that option ¬¬

Watermark is fixed!

The song is from Delahero the DLC for it I believe. Wizards in Winter
delahero You should be able to find it

Make sure you have Alarian 2.9 That's what I use and it works so no clue about anything else. Stages set to In Order.

I see...watermark is fixed, meaning it's stuck there. Oh well...Christian loop is nice. All we need now is some Stryper fretted. :D

Added UFO-Alien Background. This one took a long time to make. Double the frames of most the backgrounds and had to resize every pic. The load time was still too long so had to resize them all again! It turned out great tho!! Hope you Enjoy!!!

Added Skull&Web Background --- Wasn't going to do this one. Had it for a while now but decided to go ahead. Probably would look best with a transparent neck.

Added Fireworks Background. This one is my new fave. It looks awesome! Perfect loop like most of the others!! Enjoy!!!

Added Blue Moving Background --- I liked this one a lot too. Simple but very nice!

Added Red Galaxy Background!

If you have never tried an animated background you should at least try one of these. They really do add to the experience that is Frets on Fire!!!

I managed to find a way to select different animated stages from within FoF (using multiple folders for stages is also supported) :

<li>Make a "mod\<NameOfONEAnimatedStage>\Themes\<NameOfTheThemeYouWantAnimatedStagesFor>\Stages" folder, then put all the .PNGs of ONE of your animated stages in that folder (along with the required practice.png if you want something else than a blank stage in practice).
<li>Repeat for other stages, making one new mod/folder for each different stage.
<li>Launch FoF, go to Mod settings, enable the stage you want.
<li>Enjoy.

Here's an example of what the mod folder looks like on mine :

Code: Select all

mod\Stage GH3 - Devil May Cry Background (2-3)\Themes\Gh3\Stages
mod\Stage GH3 - Green Energy (2-5)\Themes\Gh3\Stages
mod\Stage RbMFH - Soft Red Loop (1-4)\Themes\RbMFH\Stages

You'll notice I've carefully named each folder so that :
1. they clearly show for which theme the animated stage can be activated.
2. they also display the required delay (in parentheses).

N.B. : Of course, this trick only works for a theme at a time (unless you want to duplicate your stages for each theme).

On another note, several themes are using pictures with their extension in uppercase (.PNG instead of .png). Since FoF doesn't handle them correctly (read : it prevents them from being displayed, making animated stages skip frames), it is advised to rename them to lowercase.

Personal preference, I guess, but I find that the Clapping Crowd looks better if set to BackNForth (the loop is less noticeable this way, IMO).
Than != Then. It's != Its. Of != Have. Your != You're. Their != There != They're.

The Red Galaxy background is awesome but I'm having a tiny issue with it I get a black screen flash in between the full rotations giving it like a flickering effect.

When cycling the images I cannot see the gap; any suggestions?
