I've had a look at the code and the freezing up bug should be fixed now and it should only take a fraction of the time to scan your songs folder, I have about 60 songs and you can barely see the Scanning... message come up because it takes about 0.1 seconds to scan the whole thing.
I also fixed a potential bug to do with communicating with the MSN window.
I also fixed the problems that Dan1lo said about when you choose music instead of game in the message, I accidentally put a 2 instead of a 3 in the code :p all fixed now though.
I could definitely put in your suggestion about the idle message, I'll start working on it now.

I'm not sure about porting to mac, if it were to be done, I couldn't do it. If anyone knows how to port Visual Basic 6 code to mac then post here.
nighthunter:
are you sure you have put MSNOF.exe in your frets on fire directory? also, try going into file > directory settings and where it says select frets on fire directory, make sure that it is the correct folder where frets on fire is installed and where Fretsonfire.exe is

Well, works it's simple but inestable
Could U modificate, and maybe Show in MSN the score of your last song played? With this maybe could play with friends on MSN and see the scores of your friends

Ask nicely. I know it's possible. But will someone do it.

Could you add like say when you are in the "Main Menu" and then it changes when you go to quickplay or solo, "Viewing the Setlist", then when you pick a song, "Getting Ready to Rock" then it will change to your song name.
Just a suggestion since I would like it similar to Xbox Live's Status messages.

How does this work? How does it know what song you are currently playing?

I'm guessing it reads the song.ini of the folder you choose ingame.

Okay, I can see how it would know that... Next question: How would it know whether you're currently playing, to display "Idle" or not?
...I've noticed a few problems with this using FoFiX, also. It quite often doesn't go back to saying idle until you quit.
