Hello. I was wondering, the notes are dae files right? I heard you need blender to open them. But somewhere I think I heard you can convert google sketchup files into dae files. Is this possible? Sorry if this sounds really dumb.

Yeah, this can be done, they come out kind of bad though, the lighting is messed up and it's not smoothed.

All you need to do is get google sketchup and name the meshes the way you would in blender and set their orientation the same and then you export as .dae. If you ask me it's easier in blender plus there are more advantages to using blender.

The meshes must have a specific name for them to work in FOF. Mesh is black, Mesh_001 is the colored part, and Mesh_002 is the hopo, Mesh_003 is the spot. Mesh_003 will only show up on hopo notes if it exists, if not it will just recolor Mesh_002 on hopo notes.

The google sketchup I use does not support dae files. I mean it won't export them. I'd have to get pro 6, and that costs money.

Actually, when you export them to 3D models(.KMZ) the DAE file is in that. I won't tell you how to take it out.
