How to run videos in the background - Piece of cake, really.

do you have vista?

i think this is everything i did

1. d/l vlc
2. replace desktop background with solid "white"
3. go to vlc -> settings -> preferences - > video -> output modules -> directx
4. right click the video, then miscellaneous,preferences, video, CLICK ON OUTPUT MODULES DONT HIT THE "+" ON THIS ONE, Advanced options, then changed it to directx video output.
5. if you havent changed ur desktop background from the "white" color you used, the video should be playing on ur desktop background. if it isnt, ive either told you wrong or you've done it wrong.


all of the above applies solely to vista (i think), if you r running xp, use the original tutiorial

i've done every thing
i can start the video
the video plays fine
but when i click wallpaper it keeps playing in the window and the wallpaper is just black.

ok, so u have enabled wallpaper mode? (ie step 4)


also, ur not trying to run this in fof yet, r u? you need to make sure you can see it in paint and on ur desktop first. try replacing the desktop background with a solid color instead of "none" and see if that helps. im pretty sure that the vista steps are totally different than the xp steps,which is why i cant help you too much, but i can try.

not from me bro, try and follow the steps i edited in a few steps earlier, maybe that will work, even though u aren't vista

I enabled wallpaper mode but when I right click on the video there is no "wallpaper" option to click.

i'm all done with recording gh3, or at least until i find a way to play in career mode with no fail (trainers didn't work for me >.<)

no! i recorded those videos on quickplay. so they were random chars/stages/guitars. the no fail cheat doesn't work in career mode meaning i can't choose anything. i would love to make more and take requests but i can't
