My Gaz On Fire mod

Ok, this is a little more than just a game mod. I have modded the game and built and arcade machine to play it on. The mod itself generally makes frets on fire a bit more arcadey complete with demos when nobody is playing it. I built on the latest version of RF-Mod so many thinks to Rogue_F and the other people that helped. The wierd title is due to this being a gift for my mate.





The machine loads and boots straight into the game.

Aww, you took my idea, I thought about this a couple months ago and put it in the thoughts section of the forum, probably deleted by now. It still needs one thing though, a coin slot, and I suggest using alarian mod and moding that completely to give it a super rhythm arcade game feel.

It runs very smooth, it slows down slightly on the harder songs when their are lots of notes on screen. I'm running a hacked windows 2000 os, so changed boot screens and no login windows and a batch file to load the game from the 'run' key in the registry. As some of you might know if you try and start the game on startup without first switching directories the game errors and cannot find the game files. Using a batch file fixes this. Most non-essential services are also disabled in the os so the game has lots of memory to play with.

p4 1.8
256 Ram
Nvidia Geforce 4 - This was originally a radeon 9800 and even though the geforce 4 is older and not quite a powerful, i get a much smoother game.

I'm running it at 1024 x 768 resolution with AA switched off.
