I was thinking about it yesterday...

We have rockmeter working with both versions, that's right :).Now why don't we use the same knowledge of that rock meter to make rock band's meter?

Everyone knows how it's supposed to work. You hit a note, the circle is filled a bit. You hit a certain number of notes(10) and you get 2x.

My idea is to make it so that the meter has a number of points, lets say 10, and each time you get a note, it fills in 1/10 of the meter. In the end, the meter will be exactly as rockband's.

Hope it's as easy as I think...

The issue is the circle. Its easy to code a script for a straight line but scripting a circle gets tricky.

It can be done, but it would take some time to get it right and looking good.

This would be easily solved by a sprite sheet. as with the spinning star notes, this seems to be the best solution to these type of things. Seems like less coding would be needed.

a sprite sheet would be a lot easier...
the only reason that wasn't released in the mod is because wolf didn't give me the graphics... and I'm no artist...

YOU'RE STILL HERE?! wow...

anyway, I think it should work pretty much the same as the spinning star notes - that would be alot easier wouldn't it?

Wow coffee glad to see your back! (however temporarily) It would be neat if you could find a lil project to dip your fingers into while your back. Maybe help out the team working on Alarian mod (continuation of your mod)

That would be cool... Maybe you could check out the thoughts section and look into character select screen? It seems like it would be easy to integrate if the right people got interested enough in the idea to make it happen.

Look at how gh3's RockMeter was done xD

I mean, they both trace a circular route, if you put failing off you'll see it spinning all the time...

I don't think the coding would be that different :)
