myfingers, iam back and i already know what was my lag problem, not a problem of fof, fof is using too much cpu and my processor was overheating, i just bought a new cooler and its perfect now

What's fixed?

+You can now get less than 3 stars
+Stars are dependant on accuracy, not score
+100% = 5 green stars, 95% >= 5 stars, 75% >= 4 stars, 50% >= 3 stars, 25% >= 2, 1% >= 1 star, 0% = 0 stars

Example: If there are two notes, green and then yellow - where the yellow is a hopo - the streak wouldn't break if you accidently hit red in between those two.
I think this is where I f*ck up. So yeah, I guess it is being sloppy and inaccurate, but hey it's just a game ...

That's the reason why I don't like it... as it doesn't require that much accuracy of a player... and make solos alot easier that way...

Here is an example of >5 stars. I still think it should be based off score not percent, since that is the way the other games do it because it is possible to get a high percentage but actually not get as high a score as getting a lower percentage. Here is a pic for you all.

um... i have a problem
When the song starts the board speed is realy fast no mather what song you play and just when you'r abaut to hit first note the speeg becomes corect to the song...

For example you play a song which has a slow board speed.. you start the song and the board spee is fast and when the firts note comes it becomes normal...


Any one knows why this happens?

So do people want me to change the stars to a 10 star thing? I think I can do it. I just don't know if I can do it today. Also, coffee's logic for the star system was based off of total score out of the total possible score, so when you 5 starred, it was because of the score not the number of notes hit. How do we want it? The fix I did was based off score, not percentage of notes. I can change that, or I could up the cutoffs for stars.

As for the 10 star thing, I think I am going to leave that alone for now because it would throw off all the pictures on the song finished and set list pages, but it is definitely something to consider.

I think a 10 star rating is overkill. The 7 Star thingy just feels strange in my book because I can not easily (or mentally) equate 7 stars to equal 100% of the points received; it just doesn't divide well. Keeping it at 5 is fine.

I do not think the star system should be based upon what score is possible because of the variables that star power and the whammy pose. Is the total score derived from factoring in using star power or not? The best method in my book is to calculate against a "non moving target". That in my opinion would be based upon the accuracy of hitting every note.

The hotfixes are cumulative. You only need to download the last one. It contains all other previous fixes.

I finally found the label bug. It wasn't a problem with my code, it was a problem with what UC took out. I added that function back in, what it did was it refreshed the labels, without it, it would render the labels and then they'd disappear again.

So now labels show up again, here's a link to the updated Hotfix 12.5

Nice, Blazingamer.. I've linked your interim 12.5 patch on the first post.

I don't see any reason to go through the unnecessary complications that a 7 or 10 star scoring system would require. The altered 5-star scoring system from Blazingamer sounds like it should be close enough to GH-type scoring for everyone.
