Well I finally tried the mod and I must say, graphically it is beautiful, performance-wise it's a beast, but sadly it left out certain GH-like gameplay elements that I just can't live without.
So I added them (they were some of my features anyway):
- Tails not shown on non-sustained notes.
- GH like bars (half beats, beats and measures correctly placed).
- Eighthnote hopo (eighthnote_hopo).

download

Instructions:
- You first need to have UC mod v2 correctly installed.
- Copy the stuff from the "GHIII Mod" folder to your Fof's "GHIII Mod" folder.
- Copy the stuff from the "Rockband Mod" folder to your Fof's "Rockband Mod" folder.
- Go to your Fof's "data" folder, open library.zip and delete Guitar.py, GuitarScene.py and Song.py (backup your stuff), then copy the files from the folder "library_zip" to your Fof's library.zip.

There are other things that bother me, like the fact that the notes always disappear even if you miss, or a bug with very long notes when you miss, and there are probably some bugs with the things I added, but I don't care much for Fof anymore so I hope someone else keeps improving this game, as always. It's a good thing this game is opensource.
My mod (for fof version 1.2.451):

Latest release (5.23), there's a readme in there to install & stuff (source code included).

The bpm line changes look great. I haven't noticed the tail changes yet, but I'll have to play more to notice the,. Thanks for the changes!

Capo did you read my thread about the UC? Well thanks alot, you just fulfilled all my dreams! :D (almost)

Just one question: What is this "eighthnote hopo" thing?

That 1/8 notes becomes hopo able... it was with the newest capo mod...

rockband works fine for me, but bpm lines aren't 'curved'.
Could some1 'curve' 'em for me?

I agree with Puppetz, rockband pwns GH especially with Ds~ RockBand mod v2. RB 'HUD' is way better than gh and I have higher fps count on RB.
