That's just awesome.

I don't think that EOF is better than dB (yet). :)

Really good job. I love the 3d viewer. It helps so much when making a song to see how the note aligns with the song. Although, when I try to test my song in Frets on Fire, I get an error message saying:
Couldn't read from 'C:\Program Files\Frets on Fire\data\songs\EOFTemp\guitar.ogg'

P.S I already linked it to FoF. Oh, and I think you should add like a practice mode so you can play it without being in FoF.

Hmm, which version of FOF are you using? RF or plain or some other?

Version 0.81 is ready! The usual links below:

Project Website
Download Link
MediaFire Link

New Features:

VBPM support! Select the beat you want to edit the BPM of and go to "Beat->BPM Change" menu to set. Alternately, select the beat and some notes that occur on the beat and use "Beat->Calculate BPM" to do it automatically.

Fixes:

Disabled some debugging stuff which I left enabled in 0.8.

Notes about VBPM:

If you use the Calculate BPM feature, the current beat and all subsequent beats will be set to that BPM. If you use the "Beat->BPM Change" menu option, the check box for "This Beat Only" does as it says, makes the BPM change on the current beat only.

I am working on windows vista and using audacity to convert mp3's to ogg. When I open EOF and load a .ogg for a new song I get the following messages, "File not buffered" and after clicking ok, "cannot load file." I've searched (google and this forum) but have been unable to find a clear answer. Do I need to alter the ogg or is it compatibility issues with vista?

The program looks great, hope to fix this problem and turn out some songs.

Thanks

Nothing to do with your OGG file. Can you post the full pathname to the OGG file? Example: "c:\my documents\my music\oggfiles\whatever.ogg." The reason it is not loading is because it is not finding the file. I need to see your path so I can see if I need to make some changes to the path handler.

c:\Users\John\Desktop\song.ogg.

I had audacity name the ogg export "song" and send it to the desktop.

Thanks

it is possibly to overwrite:

"int main(void)" into "int main(int argc, char* argv[])" and setting the functions so that i can load a file into eof via console?

argc[1] e.g. "notes.eof", in the future maybe also notes.mid

;) :)

Easy to do. Will be in next version.

in the future maybe also notes.mid

Version 0.9 will have MIDI import if I can work out how to do it.
