ill write up a dirty little tutorial for him real ghetto style.

find out what version of frets your making the mod for. either 1.1 or 1.2

go download my advent children mod found below

for frets 1.1: http://pepness.assassinsdamned.com/files/AVC41.1.rar

extract the folder from the rar

look in the folder..

see all thoes PNG images? mod them to what you want them but dont change the placement where they are.

example:
a pic may be huge but only a tiny section on it has a a picture on it. it has to be that way like with cassetts and editors. youll see what i mean when opening it.

so basically reedit all thoes PNG files to what you would like them to be. make sure you save as PNG or it will not work!

save your "doom" pics overwriting mine.

find some doom music.
convert it to ogg format
rename it to "menu"
overwrite mine

if you edited all my PNG files to doom material and found a nice menu song in ogg format you should have your mod done in no time.

of course you need to test it before offering and make sure you take screens for people to see.

that would be the most simple, quick and dirty way i know for you to make a doom mod or any mod. the reason i bought the advent mod up is that everything FoF offers in gameplay was modded so all the files your going to need to mod are there without making custom dae files for keys and notes. plus i dont mind you messing with my work or building off of it. anything to encourage modding.

and no. i havent used inkscape yet for a single mod ive done besides the naruto mod when i realized it wasnt even needed in the first place.

i mean where the keys are doom guns and the notes are ammo for the gun keys

Do you know anything about using 3d programs, like 3d studio max or blender or milkshape?? If you dont making those keys and notes could take you a long time. we do not have a tutorial teaching you how to use 3d programs. The closest we have is, i think we have a tutorial showing you how to make a model of a CD to use instead of the cassette. But you still need knowlege of using 3d modelling programs to be able to make them.

Then go and google for tutorials on how to use blender or 3D Studio Max, We dont have/do tutorials teaching you how to use 3d programs, only what to do after you have basic knowledge.
