-p selects the song to play
-D selects the difficulty (0-3)
-P selects the part (0-3)
There's no option for doing player2 settings for this however.

I have been unable to get a working version of FoF from source on either osx 10.4 or 10.5.
Until i can do that there won't be any official release of RF-mod (or FoF) for the mac.
I'm sure it's possible...but for whatever reason I'm having a lot of difficulty. I'm imagining I'm going to have to do it by hand.

Hi everyone. I have been using Frets on Fire for about a month now and love it. I've tried four totally different versions and this one, RF-MOD-4 is my favorite. There are a few things that I wish it could do and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have read through hundreds of posts so I have tried.
1) Would like to use Rock Meter and Juergen power, etc. found in the Hering Mod (works with Ultimate Frets on Fire). I followed the directions but it just went to a black screen when I started. After much testing I discovered that it was when copying the files into library.zip that it stopped working. I went back to RF-MOD-3.5 and everything worked until I went to play the song. It freezes as the text is going off the screen just before starting. The music starts but the screen never changes.
2) I have a collection of necks that I would like to use. Is it possible to use them with this version? I tried copying them to the same location as for Ultimate Frets on Fire but they don't show up.
I think I'll stop there. I would appreciate your help.

Hering mod as it is today ONLY works with RF-mod-3.5 (it includes it) you can't mix and match to RF-mod-4.X. There are porting efforts out there, and it (or something pretty close to it) will be included in the future, but not right now.

Necks should work the same as in previous versions. Just put them into one of the Mod folders (I think i will rename them to theme folders)

Kudo's to you guys and everyone thats involved.
I have an issue though.
For some reason RF-Mod isnt picking up my Picks. Ive tried it in FoF (the .451, or something version) and they worked.
Any Ideas?
[EDIT]
I currently have my Pick set up as Down and alternate set as Up (Which I would like to keep since im using my Wii Guitar via GlovePIE)
Up and Down dont even work if i try with the actual keys (rather than from controller). Everything works in the menus though
This is because Up and down (arrows) are tied to some other options in the game in general.
Try mapping them to some other keys like [ and ] and make glovepie use those keys.

I think that idea of changing mod folder to theme folder is nice, but instead of changing it just add a theme folder seperately. With this when you are in game settings in FOF, you can just have a little left-right switch where you scroll through different themes you have in that folder, then keep the mod folder where you would put any mods that aren't theme mods and get priority. If mods get priority, then when you have a mod on the changes the keys or notes, then you have a mod that also changes the notes or keys or whatever you want to have changed, instead of keeping the theme's whatever, you'd have the mod's.
Thanks Alex. The way necks work in Ultimate FoF is that there is a folder under data called "Necks." It includes a bunch of necks already and you can easily add more. From the menu that shows up when you choose Play Game there is an option to that allows one to select which neck they want to use. It works with all mods. I supposed I could just have some of my favorites as mods and turn the one on that I want to use. The other method was easier.
Hopefully, someone will get the Rock Meter and Juergen power ported to RF-MOD-4.

Hi,
I had already mentionned it in a previous post : for some reasons, the FoF HOPO (mark & style) does strange things in some songs. But here is a concrete example :

(Two blue HOPO : I think only the first should be HOPO.)
Found in the Vahalia song around 2min38s before the end. (Also happens a bit later with green notes).
This is not really a problem, since it nearly never happens, but it may hide some other problems... Note that everything works fine with RFMod(2) mark & style. (Again an other reason for me to use these settings...
)
Ta62.
*Still hoping that, someday, the "2-key-chord" mod will fully work with FoF HOPOs. :p *

there is no necks directory in RF-mod-4. This functionality is not likely to ever exist in mainstream FoF.

This type of post is totally uncalled for. Please think twice (or more) before sending a message attacking someone else. Thanks.
