  • If crowd cheers are set to loop, and the Score SFX ("congratulations, you are a f.a.g", etc.) is enabled, the guitar riff will be looping too.
  • Since "Results Cheer Loop" is now in the options, IMO FoF should fall back on a data/sounds/crowdcheers.ogg for themes that don't have one.
  • The song list lags also on my system since v3.020.

//edit : tricked the word-filter. :tongue2:
//edit2 : realized the theme I was using had a now deprecated crowdcheers.ogg (with the guitar at the start).

2 Questions:
1. How do I make this thing with Percent and how much notes I hitted while Im playing?

2. Where I can get drum songs?

Maybe not best suited here. but anyways
All RB songs has drums, Puppetz Hero 3, has some drum tracks. But that's all I know

What do you mean by this thing Percent and notes. In FoFiX That's on by default AFAIK. If you're running a unmodded installation then I have no idea why you posted in this topic...

I don't know if it's the patch or just me, but I finally FC'd Sweet Child O' Mine on expert! =D =D =D

The funny thing is that overall, Sweet Child is a lot easier than some songs IMO (Welcome Home, Gimme Three Steps, Enter Sandman), and I couldn't get past this one point in the song.

Regardless, I didn't really notice anything different in the new patch, so I can't say that I like it any better or worse than the previous version.
PM me for my Wii or DS Friend Codes.

http://www.fretsonfire.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=38434 My Wii GH:WT Guitar and Drum GlovePIE script. Also supports GH3 guitars!
Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.

Wow. This game may as well be called MFH now, I seriously wouldn't play this game now if it wasn't for MFH mod!

Nice job!

I see we're getting mixed results with my ugly/temporary workaround in Timer.py .
Some say it's much better, some say it's worst some say they don't see a difference.

(It's impossible that there isn't any difference, look at your CPU usage when running the game).

Those for whom it's worst, what is your CPU? I suspect it is slower than mine and MFH's...
Note that i've warned that my modif in Timer.py is far from ideal and really fixing task scheduling will require much more work.
It's planned on my TODO list, see:
http://code.google.com/p/fofix/issues/detail?id=3

In the meantime, if you're got a problem, you may very well try setting "highpriority = True" in your fretsonfire.ini or remove the wait() in Timer.py...
Please report how any of those two goes.

Indeed, USAupload seem to have issues at the moment.
Can you suggest another file sharing site allowing free uploading of a file a little bit under 300MB?

I've noticed a bit less responsiveness in the song list too when initially scrolling... but then if you scroll around for a bit it speeds up - I've had it behave like before, where you can hold an arrow and it will scroll like mad, but only after scrolling around slowly for a bit.

Not sure what to do about it yet, evilynux probably has the right idea.

---- EDIT ----

BTW evilynux: here's my handy list of free filesharing sites. When one's down or giving me crap, I use another. Several have >100MB or >200MB limits.

http://ifile.it/
http://www.2shared.com/
http://www.dl.free.fr/
http://www.filefactory.com/upload/
http://depositfiles.com/en/
http://zshare.net/
http://www.badongo.com/
http://easy-share.com/
http://uploadjockey.com/
http://rapidshare.com/
http://megaupload.com/
http://www.mediafire.com/

---- EDIT ----

Oh - and anyone who gets an incorrect score upload result ranking (confirm it is incorrect), try to help me isolate what the problem is. Did you get a high enough score to break into your top 5, in your own local scores? Could you go to your fretsonfire.log file and look for the line that says "score upload result" and post this log entry (if you haven't played the game again since then). Did your score place at all in the world starpower chart? If so, what was the actual ranking you were assigned?

---- EDIT ----

OK - I'm pretty sure now, the song list scrolling slowdown is directly caused by the new Instrument highscore display feature. Each song has to now cycle through each of it's available instruments before it can cycle through each of it's available difficulties to find a match to display scores - this is where the slowdown is coming from, since it happens each render cycle.

I'll fix this in the next patch somehow....
