Hey, Alex, is there a way that you could easily edit the 1.2 code so it can use the original orientation of notes and other things and then in the options be able to switch between that and the 1.1 way so then people could use 1.1 3d mods on 1.2 and then people like me who make models won't have to have a file for each version

@daedradude, i had some issues with that too when trying to set up a custom songs folder, because I have two different FoF versions installed. At first I thought it was the non-alphanumeric characters in the parent folders of the "songs" folder, but changing those didnt solve it. Deleting the "songs" folder in the FoF/data/ folder did the trick for me. So now I have 1.1 and 1.2 accessing the same songs directory.

Im sure there's a way to do it, but I'm not going to.
1.1 is not supported anymore. So I'm not going to 'go back' because then what would people do with all the 1.2 notes?
The current orientation is the way it will be (until perhaps sometime in the future it will change)

This is correct, you can't have
data/songs present for it to work (it's not there in RF-mod)
But more importantly you need to make sure you 'Accept Folder' once you reach the other location of your 'songs' folder.
It MUST be named 'songs' Once you're in it, there's a different menu option for 'Accept Folder'

Hey guys I have a couple questions regarding the RF mod and FOF in general.
I have spent hours on the search button so if this has been covered I'm sorry and please point to the thread covering the answer.
1. Is there a setting or mod that makes HOPOs more similar to GH3 where you can preload the note on the fret in stead of having to hammer on at the exact right time, the timing window in GH3 is way more lax and helps me with rolling triples on dragonforce songs.
2. Is there anyway to make it so every note doesn't have a mini tail or note hold after it, on my songs every single note has a small hold or tail or whatever they are called.
Thanks again guys
awesome mod keep up the good work

Check your fretsonfire.ini and set what it has set base_library to. That's the variable it is setting.

GH3's HOPOs are not supported yet. I'm not even sure if they have been able to be extracted from GH3 natively yet.
GH3's HOPOs are manually placed as opposed to automatically placed in GH1 and GH2.

Capo has a mod for this. You can use his mod, or the next RF-mod has that incorporated. Though it doesn't really change gameplay.
Thanks again guys

Cool thanks for the reply looking forward to the next version.
When you say that GH3 HOPOs are not supported yet are you talking about the placement or timing.
It is the timing I would like to see loosened or at least the option to loosen. Ie in GH3 you can hammer on 1 or 2 seconds before the note lines up with the marker at the bottom of the neck and it will still work where as in FOF you have to hammer on at the exact time.
If this is what you meant in your answer cool.
Either way I'm very impressed with your progress thus far keep it up!
