One quick question:
If I loaded and got the 2.99 (beta/test) version working
from the other day before you released 3.0,
is that essentially everything in 3.0?
Just wondering if I'm missing anything if I stay at the
2.99 vs. 3.0

Thanks. Great job!

im also wondering if he changed up anything. the HOPO seems different cuz in 2.99 we could miss like 3 notes and the hopo would still go on. in 3.0 u miss 1 note and the HOPO ends. or maybe its just my fingers arnt warmed up cuz i just woke up

First time I've been able to use the RF mod version.. the previous ones hated my pc for some reason :) This one works really well though.

Simply awesome mod.. thanks
HOPO works really well...
I took someone's advice and made the HOPO notes have a black dot... that really helps too

Is there any way to do the following:

I'm not a huge fan of the white dot on the notes.. is it possible to have solid notes throughout when not using HOPO mode?

and if using HOPO mode to have solid notes but dotted notes for the HOPO notes only? - or better yet solid notes for everything... but the HOPO notes be made solid black?

I've played around with the fretsonfire.ini file and searched around but still unsure how to do this

Thanks once again.
My custom songs can now be found in the one place:-Homerrulz Song Thread

I think you didn't got what I am thinking of whatakevin....
FoF has a Lefty Mode (It switches all the Frets) and as raph said the GH Controller is symetric and Playing lefthanded is no problem.
The thing I'm talking about is:
When we both play together, we have both to play Lefty and not. There's no way that he play lefthanded and me not in FoF!
Got if now?

homerrulz:
I think this would be hard since the notes are composed of different meshes that will give different shadings and it appears that the mesh that changes color when it's a hopo is that same mesh that will be "white-shaded" unlike in the new FoF version that will make another mesh to appear when it's a hopo

yea i understand what rue saying, but im saying just tell him to learn right handed or u can flip the key settings around, but this wont flip notes around. if u fliped the key setting, ud play exctly the same, just the notes on the screen apear the rong way, the right handed way

ah sorry I tought it was the volume of the 'errors' sounds

It's set to 50% and when both tracks are the same, when I miss a note, the main volume is not fading down at all

i just found something you could do tahts really cool with this RF mod 3.0

i found 2 things that you can do

2 string sensation:

1) set # of players to 2 but only use 1 keyboard
2) configure keys to be:
a) 1stplayer= f1-f5
b) 2nd player= 2-6 (so that the 2 are right on top of eachother [different keyboards may vary controlls])
3) select a song
4) select party mode
5) everytime it says switch, go to the other "string"
6)have fun

10 fret sensation:

1) set # of players to 2 but only use 1 keyboard
2) configure keys to be:
a) 1st player= f1-f5
b) 2nd player= f6-f10 (different keyboards may very keys [frets should be next to eachother])
3) select song
4)select party mode
5)everytime it says switch, shift up/down
6)have fun

BTW, you should of made it so that the 1 song loading thing had a option to turn on and off cuz i like my custom songs to have a background guitar track but i dont want my GH tracks to have a background guitar track. any suggestions? how to disable?
