Should cheats be enabled somewhere?

This is what I'm complaining to QStick. GH2 Sloppy has a special snake style tapping for example:
G----------
R0 0 0
Y 0 0 0 0
B 0 0
O----------
You can hit the note easily. Just hold the yellow fret and hit red and blue. But now, we can't do that anymore even we've turned on GH2 Sloppy Mode on at the cheat menu. And Wide and Widest also is different now. I know this because I'm a Widest & GH2 Sloppy Mode freak.

anyone else gotten the blackscreen? and had their guitar go funky @ss on them?

anyone planning to fix FOFix?....cause let me puit it this way, i can't play for more than one song and it crashes out
Me thinks the extra guitar.py was on for a reason, ever since it was turned off ive had nothing but issues

yea i miss GH2 sloppy as well
speaking of which ima go play GH2 + 3 for muh 360
Buy Rock Band Gear You'll Thank Yourself in the end
Cheaper to buy it in pieces
Drums 50 buxs
Mic 25
Guitar came with GH3
Endless hours of fun Priceless

Yeah and that is the exact same reason I use it.
But what exactly is the difference between gh2 and gh2 sloppy? Is it that gh2 sloppy allows you to hold higher frets as well?
If so do we need a new ho/po system that is like gh2, allows reverse tapping (holding higher frets) but prevents mashing. Mashing could be prevented by adding a limit of 2 errors, or something similar.

Another thing that has bothered me for quite some time is that the text on scores and notestreak is not really aligned as it should (both a bit pushed up). Is this just me or is anyone else experiencing this?

I've updated and I believe finished my Official Necks / Highways thread. And I was curious, can we include them in the SVN along with the default and randomneck instead of the 10 necks that come with it now? Just an idea :)

That's probably not a good idea, gopyright and such. I've got some basic tileable metals made from free texture images if there's interest (I think I made about 5, I'll upload in a moment).

Edit:
Here we go. :)
The second one was a bit brighter than I thought, the first and third one are quite ok.

These necks were made from photos available at imageafter.com and edited with gimp to be tileable. AFAIK photos at imageafter are basically free to use but I'll have to digg in on that. At least they're not ripped from another game. :P

Oh and yeah thought I'd actually link back to imageshack for once. :P

True, but there are 9 GH necks already included in the SVN right now.

I think I know what the problem is. The problem is that I'm compiling everything using macports on a Leopard machine. I have to remove any compile flags that have UNIX2003 in them.

Edit: What I think you can do to get it to work now is to copy the SDL.framework folder from an older version and paste it over the beta2 version.
This probably affects everyone using Tiger?

Just a little post to let FoFiX aficionados know that you can link to FoFiX issues with these simple bbcodes

Code: Select all

[FoFiXIssue]273[/FoFiXIssue]
Or the shortcut:
[fi]273[/fi]

It simply creates a formatted link like this one:
FoFiX issue 273
instead of having to use the standard [url=... method.

@MFH
Here's a nice find you may find of use for your drumset. It's an official tweaker program from Activision, it runs on the PC to let you tweak your sensitivity for each pad/cymbal/bass.

Mac users using Tiger:
I'm not sure if I fixed the problem with the missing UNIX2003 symbol, but I recompiled my SDL frameworks again.
Download the fixed version here: http://www.mediafire.com/?0bwk1my2u2x

I got rid of the 10.5 sdk and specified the MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET to 10.4. If this didn't fix the problem, I still have some other ideas to get it to work again. Let me know if this worked or not.
