This is probably a FoF-1.2.X thing which RF-mod has given you a toggle for.

Turn off the song count in the performance settings. Counting up the number of songs in each folder requires it to look in each one and that takes time if you have a lot of songs and folders.

No, it does not take them away, it makes them more correct.

FoF-1.2 hammer ons are just implemented wrong. It makes far too many notes hammer ons when they should not be.

If you want to go back to the original FoF incorrectness you can change the HOPO markings and HOPO keystyle from RF-mod to FoF.

This is just a reminder note for me to add something to the TODO list. a commandline flag to make it ignore the fof.ini. This way people who can't find the fof.ini can just type fretsonfire -q or something and it will ignore it (basically deleting it) and then the new settings will be saved.

I'm currently in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia so my work on RF-mod may be a bit slow.

I remember when I first grabbed rfmod 4, My skill seemed to go down greatly, and I was a bit worried. Then you made an update that readjusted a hitmargin for notes and suddenly I was hitting those normal notes again, much to my relief. However, my HOPO hasn't quite returned to what it used to be, so I've come to the conclusion that this is because of one of two possibilities: Either you've increased how hard it is to hit a HOPO to conform more to standard GH and I'm just not as good as it as I thought I was, or maybe HOPOs have a different hit margin that need to be adjusted and maybe was overlooked when you adjusted the margin for normal notes. I could be wrong but I think the game more easily lets me hit a HOPO I try to hit late than it lets me hit one I try to do early.

Is this at all possible? Could it please not be because I suck more than I thought I did?

FoF 1.2.xx has tighter timings than both GH and FoF 1.1.xx

however the HOPO's seem to have even tighter timing than the regular ones. I beleive this has to do with 1.2.xx, not RFMOD

try adjusting A/V delay until you get it pinpoint accurate that helps a lot. Because I did notice that you had to hit the HOPO's a bit late, but that's fixed now b/c of my delay.

honestly though, I've almost gotten used to the tight HOPO timings so give it time.

I couldn't find a solution for my problem.
I activated the "random phrases" feature, added some of my own to the .ini file :D the problem is that I never see them. After a song it goes directly to the score result screen. :/
Is my computer too fast? q.q
I've got a
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (2,39Ghz)
and 1 GB Ram
Is there anyway to get those phrases shown?

How come after downloading this mod, I can now hear the guitar part being played when I'm missing notes? It doesn't make any sense that I can hear notes that aren't being played. this is the first mod I've installed, so I don't know if this is a problem with this particular mod or an earlier version. Either way, could someone tell me what's going on and how to fix it?

Sorry for double posting, but I need to contradict my previous statement. Is there a way to change the blue highlights on HOPOs to white? Like they are on GH?

Were you using just standard RF-mod-3.5 or were you also using C-mod (or any of the other 1.1.X mods that incorporate C-mod)

The margins and timings between RF-mod-3.5 and RF-mod-4 are the . The timings between RF-mod and C-mob are not.

C-mod uses mostly a fixed hit margin which is much larger than default FoF.

THere are also some differences between FoF-1.1.X and FoF-1.2.X, but I believe that those are not what people are 'feeling'. It's really the C-mod change.

Sometimes you do not see the results phrase because your computer is just too fast.

Those screens are generally just shown and immediately the next scene is loaded, so you only see it if it takes a while to load the scene.

I have found the GHII multi track songs take longer to load (larger midi files) when a song is over to do things like counting up the score.

Change the hopo_color to white.

Look at the example theme.ini in the Color HOPO Blue mod folder, or read the RF-mod-examples.txt
