BTW - New Pause menu is already being reconstructed from my GH3 rips and IS on the way, and definitely a big improvement, from BOTH. Sharp in detailed too. As well as GH3 tails. Same with the failed screen.

Is it normal that the options buttons are at the bottom of each image? IMO they don't look good, and I switched the new images with my olders...
If you want to keep them in the next graphics update, well I'll keep my older images too :p

I only adjusted the edging around the main pause image and the meshing... The button gap was enlarged slightly, however the position was not changed at all... Both images have the buttons positioned at the same outter edge.

ok, i made some easy code so we can have diferent tails for every mod that we have, the suck point is that u need to have pngs of the tails in every mod folder u have or it'll crash, the only tails included with the file is RB and GH3 (credits to Figure), for gh2/1 and 8bits i just used the RB tails but u can change/make they if u want.
I used as base myfingerhurts hotfix #5 (the last one)

I could probably fix the crash problem if the tails don't exist. You'll just have to put,
if self.tail1 is none:
then it will use the one in the data folder
else:
it will use the ones in the theme folder.
Edit::
Don't worry about it, I just implemented it.

anyone else having a problem where fretboards "animate?"
What I mean by this is that they constantly shift vertical position and flip horizontally while they scroll. I'm not sure If this is because of vbpm. I typically use the wooden or clear fretboards, so i never noticed the problem until now. I have no clue how long it's been this way.

Thanks, Myfingershurt, for the new hotfix.
All of the hopos seem to be working fine for me again. I probably should thank myself for providing the debug report, too, to help narrow the problem down.
I do well at FoF, so when something happens that I start doing badly, then I know something changed. =)

Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.

jnuz wrote:have you tried my updated notesheet txf? You're the same txf from the GZ forums right? You have some kickass art! you should do some help with the Alarian mod art.
Damn, I need to check this thread more often.
The notes I have are fine now, I got used to it.
Also, thanks for the compliment xD (yes, i'm from GZ)
Side note: Found something, that might have been mentioned already. If you pause durring Star Power, the star power will still go down while paused. Basicly, it doesn't pause star power. <.<

Have you not actually played GH3? They are in the game itself, which is why we added them. I'm not sure what you mean by don't look good since they are made using the actual ripped graphics, and even overlayed with a GH3 screen shot to make sure that the button positions are perfect. Unless you just mean you don't like having them on there? That won't change if that's the case, as we are striving to eventually have this as close to pixel-perfect and functionality wise also in the end. That's why i'm using the actual images, as well as redoing some previous stuff since Alarian is coding more things to not have to modify the GH3 images itself anymore, but rather be able to use them as-is. Which is fantastic!!! Also, make SURE your using the latest Alarian 2.6, since A LOT of new artwork has been included from 2.5, including the buttons redone from scratch and new HQ screens made. The original GH3 buttons were really not that sharp, so i actually made a button from scratch with high quality edges, then added the actual button graphics themselves to each button, and added text so it's much sharper since my buttons are a higher resolution. The actual text from the GH3 seemed a little blurrier for my taste, and i'm using 1440x900 res.

OK, catching up again

Inkk - cool, that's something I knew we'd have to do sooner or later so we can have separate tails. Might as well make a new hotfix implementing this, along with Blazingamer's solution for not requiring tail images in each theme.
@Spence:
what hotfix do I need to disable the overdrive neck glow?
You don't need any hotfixes for this, it was included in 2.6 as a base feature from my old hotfixes. However, I highly recommend you still download the latest hotfix for 2.6 (#5, as in my sig) anyway as it has corrected some important logic.
@freedomcaller:
if you can make the AV settings apply instantly when changed from the pause menu, can you do the same thing with the miss volume % ? it dosent take effect till you go to the next song
It doesn't? I'll look into that, and see if I can fix it. Anyone else noticed this?
@jnuz:
anyone else having a problem where fretboards "animate?"
I also play with the transparent neck so I haven't noticed anything here...

I can confirm that the miss volume needs a song change to take effect.
I play a non-transparent neck, and I haven't noticed anything weird like you mentioned, but I don't pay attention to the neck. =P
