on the beta2 release or alphas before the cheat screen was added when u finished the song the game went straight back to the song list, no score screen or anything, and im guessing the game is expected a screen at the end of the song that required u to hit a button to progress, so when u hit enter it expects u then to be a the song list, but instead u have already selected your song and then it all goes a bit crazy, the cheat screen i guess does the job of resyncing the menus, but potentially theres still an unresolved issue lurking in there somewhere thats just hidden now

everything looks ok with the hitwindow logic.

I can feel the difference. Widest makes you really easy to hit notes like I'm doing on Jordan solos before I update today. Now, it feels like wide or wider.

there is no wider, just wide and widest, the values for everything are the same as before, all options should yield the same results as before.

Where would I find this wide/widest option
Also where could I get this pitchbend working?

Alright some bugs I find in the new REV

At end of song seems to kind of stay sitting there for a bit then finally brings up the text
The text in which choosing difficulty and instruments is quite big
They look pretty horrible on the GH themes!

Overall pretty good, fast and stable at the moment

death_au wrote:Ah, so that's why the modes aren't appearing. I just assumed there's be some sort of fallback... But yeah, I updated my revision today and on the GH3 theme (without the co-op graphics) and there was only one player's rock and score meters. I may test some more when I get home this evening.

Sorry for the delay - I got distracted by video games... Hah! Should be fixed now?

Also, I thought about using a fallback, but the level of fallback that would need to happen to make it look even marginally acceptable led me to just turn off co-op in old themes - as a sample try copying rockmeter_med to coop_rockmeter and you'll see it's pretty hard to justify releasing (and the alternative is writing a whole set of rendering code for the fallback).

Could you possibly take a screenshot to better illustrate your meaning please? I was told there was fallback for the gameresults stuff. Which of course currently it's going to be using that since no one has the theme.ini I added yet.

Yep I'll try and upload some pics
Been pokin around the settings and changing some stuff
God knows what I've done and now after a song when I press continue
the game freezes and locks up, onlyu way to exit is to end the process in
task manager.

I would look in the error log, but I have no Idea where it is in these alpa builds
could someone please direct me to it? I'll be changing a few settings and trying
to find out which one is causing my continue problem.

I'll post back once I've found the source

I'm about to release a new hotfix with additions of all the stuff i have been working with, as well as the new theme.ini using all the new QStick functions shortly.

Ah k good then I'll wait for that
While I'm still trying to find to bug out some other issues

---- EDIT ----

I don't get the song end error in your theme
its all the themes and that only happened after I changed some settings
So I'll change a few again to see what the problem is

Good point WR. It would be great if people stop to quote the pictures. It is easier to find important posts then....

its the same with anything else i might have reported as an issue, they seem to go away with 1024 X768 fullscreen res

That's why I always try to use [collapse] tags around any large images, especially if I'm quoting.

I understand about the fallback, I just didn't realise this was the case. Perhaps there should be an issue open for it as a low-priority thing for the future?

Testing the latest revision now... yeah, multiplayer seems fixed. I tried worldrave's new hotfix, and on multiplayer, the scores at the end look pretty bad with the new positioning. Perhaps there should be some sort of override for multiplayer.
Also... Hitglows don't appear if the note isn't long! Woohoo!

About the song list in 3.1 b1 and b2:

If song is played before the update, the scores are not shown on the list before the song is played once. Is there a user side solution to make them appear?

Turn song list caching off. It's fixed now in the alphas, but this is a bug.
Wait... it should be fixed in beta 2. You need to go through your song directory and clear out all the .fofix-cache files

The hitglows not showing up on non-long notes only works with animated ones? Is there a way to enable it for non-animated as well?
Also, I can't get off the game results screen. Anything I choose from game results makes FoFiX lock up completely and use up a lot of cpu.
