I have also updated the RF-mod FOF wiki with updated links. There's also some FAQs about the search key and also encoding.

In this version there were fixes for people experiencing crashes when having song.ini's and folders with non ascii characters.

The fix involves changing the default encoding so some characters do not show up anymore. If you want that back, go read the wiki page

Thanks for the update, Alex :)
The only thing that pisses me off is that you need to strum after you miss a HOPO note
Besides that, great!

Well that's how it works.

you ALWAYS have to strum after you miss a HOPO. You missed. you must strum.

Even REAL guitarists have to strum if they screw up a HOPO...

And awesome, Domination is a lot easier now... Thanks for the update!

I also forgot the instructions for entering high scores with the guitar/keyboard (but just the fret keys)

Pick down - letter changes to the next letter forward A-Z then a-z then 0-9, then -,_ and space
Pick up - letter changes to the next letter backward
Fret 3 - Accept letter and go to next letter
Fret 4 - Erase letter and go to last letter
Fret 1 - Accept name and save
Fret 2 - Cancel entire score entry (uses original name)

I may add a little fret helper like in hering's mod for this later.

Hello, I'm sorry to butt in but I am struggling to use FoF with This RF-mod. What I can do successfully is run Raphs GH mod. What I try to do now is replace the current data folder with the one included in FoF. I keep trying to reinstall them and use every different combination. All I get is an error saying check you log file. Maybe a FULL set of instruction could be supplied? Please Help! Thanks.

Don't mix up RF-mod 4 and the original FOF. If you want to install RF-mod, just unzip it into a NEW folder, not in an existing FOF installation. If you want to "uninstall" RF-mod and change back to standard FOF for some reason (it's not clear what you want to do in your post), just install FOF into a NEW folder, not in an existing RF-mod installation. They both come as complete packages ready to run out-of-the-box, there's no reason for playing around with their data folders.

Really? I've seen plenty of people tapping on their guitars without having to strum first.

RF mods let me have my cake and eat it, too. It still would be great to have a toggleable multiplyer flash, though.

Everything in this mod is awesome, as far as I can tell. It should have it's own theme song, XD.
Edit:

The solution to this was pointed out already, in the readme and in the first post of the download topic. Honestly.

New problem:

This only happens on songs I made or downloaded, but when you miss a note the music stops. Now you're probably getting ready to tell me to use the search button and yell at me, BUT!

I tried copying guitar and naming it song. And tried again. And in all my folders there are a guitar and song, but it only reads guitar! and only on songs I made! Why?!
