weird, it should not. i actually forgot to include the sources so I think it's the wrong version.

I'll fix in a few.

Update to RF-mod-4 is available.

New current version is 4.12
You can download it for win32

This version has several bug fixes

Fixed 2 note chord bug in American idiot
Fixed bug in HOPO marking when lyrics are displayed
Fixed bug in HOPO marking when playing multiple times
Fixed bug in HOPO during party mode
Fixed player2 remembering what options were selected before
Fixed volume lowering under certain circumstances
Fixed key jump to not be US keyboard specific
Fixed search key to not be US keyboard specific
Added fix for problem of non ascii songs and folders

Some new features

Base song library selector
High score entry using fret keys and pick
Configurable party mode timer
Configurable search key
Default keys for player2 changed.

The base song library selector is pretty neat.

During the install do NOT move your song directory into the data directory. Just try to play and it will prompt you to find your song dir. Please read the readme.txt for more details.

There is one limitation is the base library selector only works on the same drive. If you edit the base_library = variable directly (like with previous versions) you can use a different drive, or even a network share.

I fixed the download link

I guess this will solve the problem. If not, and if standard FOF was running properly, he might have found a serious bug in RF-mod (which is always good to know).

No it was obvious from his post and his repost that he had changed something. The fact that it did so for FoF when he tried it again made it clear it has nothing to do with RF-mod.

Plus with comments like 'Did you make it run like ass' and it worked until he 'downloaded this trash'.

He is lucky I did not see his second comment before I read his PM where he appologized. I told him how to locate the fretsonfire.ini and fix his problem.

Again it's not about complaining. But if you're going to be abusive, I feel no obligation to help.

it seems as if that dl link is still 4.11 the song directory prompt thing didnt happen (I purposely didn't put the songs in data) and the sources, changelog, and folder name are all for 4.11
the filesize in the folders are also exactly the same

Then you still downloaded the wrong thing. I downloaded it from the link.

The folder says 4.12, the source says 4.12, the credits say 4.12

hmm this is really strange - I followed the link to that prison.net page and it said RF4 for windows has been updated today which would make sense but even when i click that link directly on the website i still get 4.11

I'm not sure why - I've tried all the links (as a matter of fact no matter which link i click i get 4.11)

off to a different browser I guess

EDIT: Hmm seems to have worked in IE and not FF

weird huh? - well thanks

It proably was reading it from your local disk cache.

The link is a symlink (which did not change the name of) so FF probably just assumed it was the same thing that you already had.

Woo, new version... NICE!

You freakin' rule man... Although I am having an issue getting BACK into a hopo streak... Domination is hurting a LOT right now, 'cos I have to strum everything after missing a hopo until the next compulsory strum note...

Eh, probably not alone... Either way, thanks for the awesomeness.
