tazguy79 wrote:ok, not a huge deal, but i have found that whenever i do a hopo hold i dont score for the whole hold unless i hit the button really early, like for example turn on the "cheat" uptomytempo, and notice how he hits all of his notes before they reach the center of the circle. If i want to score on the holds, i need to time it like that, i though 3.2 fixed it, but i downloaded and installed, and it still happnes

what if you hit it too early then? that will make the notes so that you have to hit right on or after it. i think we would like to have a bit of room b4 and after. think of the side effects...

i agree totally, only i think that it should hold out and increase scorer no matter where u hit it, becasue right now, it only counts it if you hit it early

tazguy - you are correct to what you have to do to actually get the hold. I't sa bug and I've fixed it in the latest version which will be out as soon as I get the accuracy bug fixed.

HOPO sections are much better now, good to know it was because of the vbpm and that you got it right from the start. But in 3.2 the HOPO is broken for player 2, you don't need two people to test it, just set your keys to the player 2 and play, in songs with long hopo sections you will miss a lot, and I'm talking about songs you know you can do right, just try some songs in amazing that have long hopo sections with your keys set to player 2 and you'll see. HOPOs are working fine for player 1, though.

Btw, I don't know if there are other cases like this, but in the song YYZ in amazing I get a lot of misses during the whole song, and not in hopo sections, just about everywhere, and no, I'm not missing.

Also it seems really hard to recover if you miss in the middle of a hopo section, don't know if this is supposed to be like this.
My mod (for fof version 1.2.451):

one easy way to recover is to strum one note again, because even in real guitar the only way to start a HO or PO is to give it an initial strum.

and for your YYZ problem try to adjust the AV settings in the delay and then try

Sorry I meant yyz on medium, but I believe it may happen in amazing too. I've never changed the av delay it's always been in the default one of 100 since like the first time I downloaded fof way back then, I'll try it in 50 just for the hell of it. And it is it's pretty obvious you have to strum again since if you miss in a hopo section you will no longer be enabled to continue unless you strum, what I meant is that this recovering by strumming again seems harder than the initial strum in the beginning of a hopo section.

yesh, i have issues with tha ton GH as well, but i have trained myself to strum Apx every third or fourth note in a long HOPO section so that just in case i miss, i will usually recover it,

so did adjusting the AV delay help or not???

No, and I don't see why it should, I'm hitting the notes when I should, but it still registers it as a miss. AV delay only delays the sound of the start of the song, the fact the notes come and you hit them right on the spot doesn't change, especially if you try without sound. And I still miss. Did you try the song on medium/amazing?

ok, here's my diagnosis,

near the beggining i would definitely have to agree with you, something is wrong, but by the time i reached the solo, i noticed eeverything was fine, its just the fret board moves really fast, once i learned that, i nailed the last refrain 100% (ok, like 98%)

my suggestion would be to either learn to take in the fast moving notes, or adjust the BPM so that the fret board moves slower. the only problem with that is that then the notes will be twice as close together, but fro what i saw in that song, that shouldnt be to bad (unlike freebird where when you half the fretboard speed, notes wind up being on top of eachother lol)

hope this helps, and good luck

if i dont respond to anything else, its cuz im actually doing my homework XD

Thx for the response, I hope it's just me and not the game, it's just that I have some memories of actually performing good in this song, maybe I was just dreaming, heh.
