Also, putting the program in your "Program Files" folder is a bad idea. You should at least create a subfolder like "EOF" and put the files there.

Well i think it is just my computer i thnk i will probly have to get another editing program.

If Windows is having trouble running 32 bit programs, then it is very possible you will need to repair or reinstall Windows. If you have a spare hard drive, you can install onto that and give it a try.

Why does EOF always seem VERY HARD?

It's confusing trying to edit the notes. And time consuming.

I'm ready to be flamed for this upcoming phrase:

Freetar is easier to use.

Unless you're making a chart with accurate timing. Without a metronome, you can't fine tune the tempo to near perfect accuracy. And then you have to painstakingly place each note carefully to where it sounds like it should go, whereas with EOF, you can place notes accurately because the beat markers are accurate.

Once you invest a couple hours with EOF, starting with a song from scratch, you will find that EOF is not only many times better than freetar, it isn't that hard to use at all. If you want hard to use, try using a full-blown midi editor like some people.

How do you put on Hammer-on notes? That's my only beef with this ATM

YOU DON'T PLACE HOPO NOTES YOURSELF. FOF DOES THAT FOR YOU. USE THE SEARCH BUTTON  !!!

FoF makes notes that are closer than eighth notes into hopos. If you really care so much, you can mess around with your BPM's to make notes that you want to be HOPOs closer than 8th's.

As for freetar being easier to use, no way. Freetar requires that you drag with the right mouse button to select the right note position, then you press a button to place the note. EOF is exactly the same (in RexMundi), but you don't have to drag with the right mouse button: just highlight and press.

Memes are so funny hahaha I'm splitting with laughter I can't control this laughter at this meme which uses a word incorrectly oh hahaha

:glare:

That was EPIC.

My songs. All made in EOF, beat-synced and note-synced, not very many missed notes.

I found that the issue can still be reproduced if changing the active difficulty track during playback.

About the no-repainting error: it just started happening randomly. I never touched the CPU saver. I've tried placing it at both extremes and I still get no repainting.

Alright, I'll fix that, too.

That's really strange. Actually, I have an idea. Try setting the window size. Maybe it is set to an invalid mode and is causing redraw problems.

I've noticed that placing notes on an existing tail will truncate the tail so that notes don't overlap. But if a tail is extended, it is allowed to overrun another note and then an overlap occurs. The tail is properly truncated after the next note place/removal.

Yeah, I think that's a relic from the way the program used to work. It'll be fixed in the next version.

Erm I just started up EOF again and it's working perfectly. Maybe it's because I rebooted since I last tried.

I have an idea for a feature. When the notes in a chart are moved in mass (click+drag) with snap-to-grid disabled, sometimes notes will be drawn one pixel off from the correct position. I'm not sure this is just a rounded rendering error, because if I zoom in, it still is rendered out of place. Sometimes, EOF will visibly skew the note positions slightly when the mouse is released after clicking and dragging with snap-to-grid off. Could there be a feature that would force actively-selected notes to snap-to the nearest grid position based on the current snap-to value? It would save having to re-snap all the ones that are off one at a time.

This would be especially useful for when the timing for a song has to be overhauled and the tempo is changed by small amounts.

Do you have LAME and Vorbis Tools installed? If not, you can't use MP3 directly. EOF depends on those two programs to convert the MP3 to OGG.
