you're right, it's always annoying when users simply complain"it doesn't work", without saying what's the exact problem :)

Ok, use the last rf-mod, version 4.11. Enable HOPOs with both key style and note marks set to FoF. Play sweet child o'mine, guitar part, medium difficulty.
Play the first note with stroke (green), hopo the second one (blue), miss the third one (red), play the fourth note (green) with stroke, as if you were recovering from a missed hopo.
Then do nothing and watch the whole intro played at full volume.

Doesn't happen with plain fof 1.2.451

Maybe check the two-player keys...since RF Mod seems to count it as 1 keyboard for two players.

ok, time for another bug report :)
Today I played heart-shaped box, which has some 3-notes chords. I played it with the "two keys chords only" option turned on (rf-mod 4.11), even if my keyboard can play that particular chord found in the song (red+yellow+blue).

After playing it without missing a note, my score was ~297K points, but my hit score was only 95%, rf-mod saying I played some chords as 2-note.
Thus I deactivated the "two keys chords only" option and played again. This time rf-mod reported correctly a 100% hit, but the score was again ~297K!

I think that in the first case the third key in the 3-notes chord was counted in the score computation, but not in the hit rate, which is a bit odd.

1,2,3,4,5 are the default frets for player 2.
'2' is fret 2, which is also cancel.

So you're trying to set player 1's keys to it, but you're hitting the player2 cancel button. change player 2's keys first.

This has been a common problem so I am changing the default player2 keys to something else but for those of you that have already played this version it will be set to 1,2,3,4,5

I think this is the same as the american idiot bug. This is fixed in the next version.

2 note chords do not change the appearance of 3,4 or 5 note chords.

but you can play them by just playing the 2 outer notes.

G R Y can be played with G Y

G R B P can be played with G P
G Y B P can be played with G P

G Y B can be played with G B

Nope, must be your computer or your configuration settings. It works fine for most everyone.

I don't see why this would run crappy and regular FoF wouldn't with the exact same settings.

It looks so awesome but i can't use it :\

I was about to release 4.12 with a lot of bug fixes and some cool new stuff, but I was easily able to reproduce the problem following your instructions. I'll look at it now and see if I can fix it.

Edit:

Looks like the fix was easy (I hope). It seems to fix the particular problem described above, i am not sure if it fixes all occurances of it.

Try deleting your fretsonfire.ini (back it up first) and redo your configuration in the menus

audio buffer setting too low is usually the cause of skips and pops.
