That happened to me, but I thought I'd just screwed something up in my theme... Apparently not.

Hey,

I have a lot of drum loops from the FPC feature in FL Studio 8 and am willing to convert these loops into drum songs/tracks that can be used as a Drum Trainer in FoF. These songs can be integrated into a possible Drum Rhythm Trainer for FoFix.

I could for now just make the songs via having a Catagory of loops as a song (say FunkBeats), and have each loop play 5 times, and then have all of the loops play throughout the song (30 loops for example), making a 150 second song.

The only little trouble would be figuring out how to separate each section for Practice Mode uses.

I could also extract samples to make more kits for the Drum Trainer feature discussed earlier.

You think this is a good idea?

Hey guys! I love the RB2 setlist!!!

I'm wondering how to get the band difficulty to work... is it just "diff_band = " in the song.ini?

That'd be great, FoFiX could use some more tutorial songs. Practice sections don't matter for tutorial songs - just make them short songs, each with a training purpose, and that will be good enough. If you want to go all out, you can add script.txt files with some basic instructions / tips to display during the tutorials.

Man, I'm hating these 10 hour shifts.... I barely have enough time to grab a beer, eat dinner, and go to sleep!

Enjoy it man, trust me.

Sorry to hear about your shifts MFH  hopefully you can find something better. You need some time for yourself (even forgetting FoFiX)

well the notes for the rock band drum trainer are stored like the musik in .mids files thats not the problem. the big problem is that nearly all 70 training sections are stored in only 1 mid file.

beat training is stored in 1 mid file
fill training is stored in 1 mid file

in the sum there should be over 100 training sections

next update to the set list will prob will be this weekend before beta is released.
things to look for:

List all songs in library in one big list (just got this working today, its fun)
sort by score
fofix looks for random.png in theme folder to be used as the album art for random song.
fofix looks for emptylabel.png in theme folder to be used for all songs with no album art.
theme.ini values for colors in rb2 list mode.
maybe more?

Where can you download a beta of .035 with the new album setlist?

I've downloaded several betas and can't find any that work. I wanna add album art... Can you tell me the resolution that the image has to be and what it has to be named?

Spoiler:

It's not a real goose, it's only a picture of one.

Ideas: (don't feel obliged to put these in, they're just related things that I would find useful)
Sort by difficulty
Ability to select subfolder of library and then display all songs in that folder and subfolders. In this way I could, say, go to my Rock Band Songs folder and then display all songs from all my sub directories (RB1, RB2 and DLC) without seeing my Guitar Hero Puppetz Hero songs... Might be difficult, depending on how you've currently got the "list all" working. Just an idea.
Sort by directory (if in "list all")

beta does not exist... yet.
Album art is in an image called "album.png". Images can be any size and will be scaled up or down as necessary. Even non-square ones work (but square is better). Others are using 400x400. It doesn't really matter

Leave time for the essentials man. Beer and sleep are very important!

New Rock Band sound rips are done (in time for 3.035!), I just need to upload them. Just a heads up, some of these aren't supported yet and need coding in.

They way i have it set up this might not be to hard to do, ill do some testing, also listing is surprisingly fast, it will bring up my 1000+ songs in around 10-20 sec of loading screen.

On the sort by difficulty thing, what is your opinion of how this should work, i have played around with a few ideas:
should i sort only by band difficulty?
should there be an option on which difficulty to sort by?

also i would like to get sorting tiers done sometime before 3.035 final is released like rb2 where it makes a tier for "A", "B", etc when sorting by name or a tier for "1976", etc etc when sorting by year. this will be a little more work though, but i have a few ideas on how to implement it.
