A query on the RB2 set list progress: You've got the top score showing there, but how do you know what difficulty that is for? I imagine you can still change difficulty with a button press, but how do you know which you're on?

Does the song has its own difficulty or can be changed?

In new setlist will be included in scores percentages of hitted notes?
On screen I didn't see this, but I think that it should be (I know that it isn't in Rock Band games, but in FoFiX it was ;])

@death_au

look @ the new post here https://www.fretsonfire.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=25040&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=2190#p322399
.. It has ,,Guitar'' text, above the scores... And yes you can change it to show drum & bass.. :wink:

@endrju

in fof there still will be all the stuff, like normal setlist, list with cd, just CD's, cassetes, and stuff...
This is just a RB2 copied setlist, and RB2 doesn't have note streak in the setlist.. :wink:

and to answer the other question, yes we will prob have to make a new key for sorting as i dont think the killswitch is going to work out and the overdrive is way to sensitive on guitar controllers if you have it set to the tilt sensor.

On screen text causes heavy lag on me in revision 591 on the normal branch. I can't seem to find the options to turn them off completly. so far I've gotten it to turn of the normal solo calculation during solo and the frame of course, but I still have the word solo on the left side of the board and that causes lag as well. After the solo I still have the stats presented for me and they hang around for at least 40 seconds, causing unnescersary lag for me.

I kinda agree as well, but I don't mind if it's missing. This is only the RB2 setlist after all. Once it's done and people have had a chance to test and debug it then we can try adding stuff to it.
On this RB2 setlist it seems to become a matter of screen real-estate. With all the information that is being displayed, there's not enough room to put the hit percentages, streaks, high score owner's name, etc. If it comes down to it, and you really want that information, use the list/CDs view.

Yeah good point but it's not the code (as far as I can tell). My FoFiX is not running as smooth as it should and I would like to find why. What's your video card and driver version? I have an ATI Raedon 9700 and I think it might be a driver issue. Would be helpful to know if those with an ATI Raedon are experiencing frame rates problems. Anyone?

Lol, that was a wake-up call. I just tried to play FoFiX with the Rock Band theme on my dad's old desktop. AMD Athlon XP @ 1.25GHz, 512MiB of RAM and an NVidia GeForce4 MX440. Quite apart from getting, like, 20FPS, every so often it would just hang up for a few seconds and when it started going again the A/V delay had changed. LMAO.

Drum miss sounds coming very soon (maybe sometime this weekend even), but first I have college essays to write. It all depend on how quickly I get those done. Plus I have final exams next week so… yeaaahh…
Desktop:
OS: Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3 (Build 2600); Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Beta (Build 7048) | CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2 CPUs, 2.40GHz) | RAM: 2x Corsair XMS 2GiB DDR2, 2x Corsair XMS 1GiB DDR2 (6GiB total, 3.25 recognized by XP) | Video: EVGA NVidia GeForce 8800GT 512MiB | Audio: Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic

Just finished uploading a new Alpha Tester Win32 Required Source Modules package with an install script to help automate the process. It's been added to the RequiredSourceModules Wiki.

After running the install script, FoFiX appears to build fine, I should be able to start experimenting again tonight if nothing else goes wrong.

I just wanted to post that I've been trying to get a python2.5 version of FoFiX working for windows. I made a lot of progress today because I got all the dependencies installed and I got the exe to build. The executable didn't work though because of some error importing win32api or something like that.
