Well I finally setup the SVN today. I got it to run with no issues, other than it only plays the song.ogg. Did I miss something?

Even if there is no diff set in the song.ini, could it put N/A for nonrated difficulties?

Yes he will don't worry.. :smile: We already have talked about all the ideas and things to make it at least 98% of the real RB2 setlist... :smile: Then i think we gonna copy the RB2 results screen... I've already got some code and the graphics, and it'll be easy to make it the same like RB2 :wink: ...

I should have all the UPDATE PACKS for the main setlist for RB2 up by the end of the week. I have of tiers completed now as well as 15 DLC pack and the AC/DC Live Track Pack. I have some other people helping to collect information and artwork on the RB main setlist as well.

I will wait to upload the UPDATE PACK for RB2 until I have it completed.

Yes, Thank you. But it brings up another question...

With all the work to basically CLONE RB lately, has anyone done any work to update the career mode code to be able to do multiple career mode settings in the song.ini?

unlockg_id = <- guitar career
unlockr_id = <- rhythm career
unlockd_id = <- drum career
unlockb_id = <- band career

There again, this will come in handy for GHWT as well once we get to play those songs in FOF.

Don't forget to add the little "2" infront of the song name which stands for "RB2 song" and "arrow" for DLC songs if possible

if this was added into the game youd want a whole lot more than that. theres guitar hero 1, 2, 3, 80s, aerosmith, and so on and so on youd want to be displayed as well. its a little much to ask for i think. theres new games coming all the time and dont forget custom songs too.

btw, is this in the alpha versions yet? the browsing "everything" with sorting? its the big thing ive been asking/waiting on.

IMO you don't need that little icon. Every single song for FoFiX is going to be downloaded anyway. If you really wanted you could just put those arrow icons in the background image and it would look the same, if you wanted it that badly.

As a themer and ripper, I actually dig this idea alot. The protocol is basically already there, well almost anyways. The game already scans the song.ini before it displays the songlist so it can display the information in the song.ini correctly. During this scan it can read a line in the song.ini like icon = rb1 it could display a iconrb1.png in the songline. I know it's more complicated than that, but it could work.

But obviously, one thing at a time. Much like the multiple career mode settings in the song.ini.

I don't know if this is really a problem with FoFix or what but everytime I make an attempt to go to Quickplay, the game just freezes. This has happened in 3.030, 3.025, and the base 3.000 release. I've tried everything I can think of: setting a different compatibility mode, deleting the fretsonfire.ini, un-installing and re-installing FoFix. I really don't know what the problem is here.

maybe we could do this (and include the official THEME icons in FoFiX) then for custom songs the .ini would point to logo_rb2.png (for rockband 2 for instance) or logo_custom.png (which would search for that filename inside song folder) that way fretters could have a logo displayed as well

Post your fretsonfire.log somewhere and link it here so we can have a look and see if we can find anything that sticks out.
