which rock band song did you use to test the solo parts? i have in the new 2.8 problems with solos it doesnt work for me

Wow. I'd check the song folder to see what's in it. If that's all good try again. If it doesn't work remove the folder from songs and try again. If it still has the problem reinstall.

again... if you are playing a song with no MIDI text events (many of the Rock Band rips and all the GH3 rips have NO EVENTS) you will get NO SOLOS.

Try GH1 or 2 songs. Try Rock Band songs from the original disc (NOT DLC).

Make sure you didn't disable Rock Band Text Events.

I set the default settings for a reason....



edit: if you want all the Rock Band DLC to have lyrics and sections and solo events... then go bug Cama about releasing his unstripped MIDIs. That's not something I can help you with.


edit2: if I can't reproduce the error here, I can't help you. I've never seen that error.

And for the love of god... don't post here that things aren't working right if you aren't using a FRESH INSTALL with a BLANK FRETSONFIRE.INI file.

Let's say that you're getting this network error because you tried to alter your install of Frets on Fire in some way. I don't care what you were trying to do, what mod you were trying to add, whatever. If you have problems, and you don't go back to a fresh install, and you report them, how am I supposed to....

The song I have that will use the solo is Teenagers - MCR and I think that it was a DLC Song from Gh2.

OK so this is caused by a song? A custom song? A ridiculously huge custom song?

Why should I have to provide support for something like that?

I made this mod to work with RB / GH rips, and custom songs that were modeled after them....


edit: if it works the way I released it, with the songs it was designed for, then DONT REPORT PROBLEMS RELATED TO SOMETHING SPECIAL YOU ARE TRYING TO DO.

That's really not fair to me. You were, in a way, saying that it was my fault, not that the song has something wrong with it...
