Re: EOF 1.58
I really, really wish the "Adjust Notes" checkbox when changing BPM was checked by default.
Good idea.

Re: EOF 1.58
One request: can you make it so that EOF does not overwrite information already in a song.ini? This is really annoying when I'm beat syncing GH3 tracks or adding extra difficulties after I've exported, because I add lots of ini info that EOF doesn't currently support. So if it just leaves the ini alone if it's an opened song, that would be great.

I can make the INI import all the additional settings as custom INI settings, that way they get exported back into the "song.ini" when saving. Would that work?

I don't think so, because the difficulty, album and hopo frequency settings, among others, aren't currently supported by EOF as far as I know

If you move the beat markers around, the notes will stay in the correct position relative to the beat markers.

EOF has a custom INI settings section (Song->INI Settings). That is where I am suggesting storing the unsupported INI settings. Any setting in that section gets exported to the INI in addition to the normal EOF-supported settings.

In that case go right ahead with your first idea

Seriously... CTRL+S isn't quick save? I thought i would give this program a try and got through the drums and guitar part when the program crashed, only to realize having been using CTRL+S to save the whole time, my song file was put back to the beginning. Luckily there was that backup file there, but still.... no good.

It's important to know the controls first, but the auto backup system is great for just this circumstance. If you can reproduce the crash, please post details about it.

I'll take that as a request.

Yah... Every other program i've ever used has CTRL S as the shortcut for saving, so i would imagine at least a few people are in the habit of using it. I've always followed the Save Often rule saving every few changes by press CTRL+S just because its easy.

Would've been a little nicer to word it like this:
You should've wrote:Feature Request: I'd like to see a keyboard shortuct (Ctrl + S) for quick saving, to make it consistent with other programs I use.

Re: EOF 1.58
Regarding the issue of importing Feedback charts I've found out where the problem is occurring. Here's a picture:

Notice that the BPM of the beat is 72-75 and somehow the beat is longer than the 69 BPM beats. I got this screenshot by disabling EOF's automatic beat marker recalculations upon import. Normally EOF will recalculate all the beat marker positions based on the BPMs specified at the markers to ensure they are accurate. When EOF gets to the pictured position it shrinks those beats to match the BPM.
A quick test reveals there are time signature changes. I'm not entirely sure but I'm guessing that changing the time signature alters the meaning of the BPM value as EOF assumes 4/4 at all times during import.

Re: EOF 1.58
If that's the problem, now may be the time to add comprehensive time signature support into EOF. It would be very very useful for complex progressive metal
