gebbss wrote:Personally, I think there is no way he could've found that information by searching if he didn't know it had something to do with the BPMs. It's kinda like looking for a needle in a haystack but not knowing what a needle looks like and to top that, being colorblind aswell.

i searched with the exact same keywords he did.
i searched for "speed" "hyper" "faster"

Ummm, no it doesn't.
"Would of" came about because it sounds similar to the spoken word "would've," which is a contraction of "would have."

Examples:
"I would have done that." <-- Correct
"I would've done that." <-- Correct
"I would of done that." <-- INCORRECT

Double contractions, while allowed in common speech, are disallowed in writing.
Example: Wouldn't've. The correct form of this is either "would not have" or "wouldn't have." "Would not've" is also not allowed.

This also happens with other words, like could've and should've.

It's a contraction, meaning it drops a few letters and smushes two words together with an apostrophe. "Of" is not spelled ve. If it did stand for "Would Of", you'd have would'f or something like that.

It's "Would have", would've.

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

I just remembered what the BPM one is.

The FOF editor does not know how to edit bass/rhythm tracks. So when you resave it is only saving the main track, and it does not include the bass/rhythm tracks so you lose the data.

I probably should have a warning for that. I should also probably fix it as well.

Dude... that' doesn't even make sense. Using "would've" to stand for "would of" is ADDIng a character, thus making it longer...>>
Everytime someone says "would of" I think, "would of what? Would of hope? Wood of doom? Eh? What is the would of? It is of nothing, because would cannot be!!"[/fails]

But... um... back on topic, it would be nice if there was a "speed converter" similar to the "difficulty changer thingy" that allows one to change the bpm of several songs at once.

It's funny how almost every topic somehow turns into off-topic conversation.

Um, yeah. This thread has that well covered.

He was just saying that "would've" adds an extra character vs "would of."

The apostrophe being the extra character.

would've
would of

but.........he forgot to count the space. So it isn't even one less. It's the same. :p
