OK, not tonight though.
Also, something I forgot, the whole solo section turns into a huge star power/overdrive phrase.

FoFiX requires that you define some overdrive phrases in order for solos to work. If you want to use solos without worrying about defining overdrive you can use the old text event method.

Re: EOF 1.57
EOF doesn't save into .chart format, you'll have to convert the MIDI to .chart using the Feedback-related tools.

Re: EOF 1.57
Excellent work with the latest version. There are a few things though. Firstly, 1.57 is a bit more laggy for me (running on Vista, with Quad Core Processors), than the previous version I had (1.5 - I never updated for a while). This is probably due to 1.5 changing the colour scheme to Vista Basic, whereas 1.57 doesn't.
Also, when you select a group of notes (click, then shift + click), 9 times out of 10 on anything but Guitar Expert, it will select some notes and not others. Most of the time it can be resolved by shift-clicking some of the unselected notes, but sometimes it requires you to go through manually.
And the 'Crazy Notes', or Extended Sustains as I like to call them, work about 1/3 of the time in-game. The other times, the game treats them as a regular sustain and cuts off at the next note, or just doesn't show it at all, just the notes the sustan should be held during.
Nice work, though. I hope you do implement custom HOPO's. The rest of that list would also be great additions.

Have you tried using the "Force 8 bit color" option?

I haven't had this happen to me. Can you post a chart and give steps to replicate this (ie. which notes to try to select)?

FoFiX doesn't officially support this, so there's no guarantee that it won't truncate notes.

I don't think FoFiX supports this yet either.

Re: EOF 1.57
EOF wont allow me to create a new song. It gets through everthing like its working but when i go to save, it says that there is no folder and it asks me to recreate it, i click yes and it says it couldnt perform the operation. This really sucks as far as im concerned, why is it not working?

Re: EOF 1.57
It seems there is a glitch with the new song wizard and where it tries to save new charts. The only real workaround I can think of for the immediate time being:
1. Leave your chart open so you don't lose any work.
2. Use a previous version of EOF to create a new blank chart.
3. Re-enter the midi delay and initial tempo of the chart.
4. Save the chart.
5. Open a NEW instance of the latest EOF (must be the same version as the one your unsaved chart was made with)
6. Go back to your unsaved chart, select all notes (CTRL-S) and copy to the clipboard.
7. Back in the new blank chart, seek to the first beat marker (Home and then Page Down)
8. Use OLD PASTE to paste the notes with disregard for beat markers, because you'll need to recreate any existing anchors.
9. In EOF preferences (F11), disable Note Auto Adjust so that when you drag the beat markers to resync them to the notes, the notes aren't moved automatically.
10. Save the chart you just pasted into. Since the EOF file existed when you opened it, you should be able to bypass the new chart directory glitch.
10. Alt-TAB between the new and the old chart, referring to your unsaved chart to drag the beat markers appropriately so that they line up with your notes in the saved chart. This way, you can recreate the beat sync if you had it working in your unsaved chart.
Let me know if that helps.

Re: EOF 1.57
I don't know if it has already been said, but I found a little bug: when I select "8th note HO/PO" (in Song > Properties), EOF add a line to song.ini ("eightnote_hopo = 1"), but it misses a letter so it doesn't work, it should be "eighthnote_hopo = 1" to work (tested simply adding the missing "h").
Anyway, great program ^_^

If you have a chart you can reproduce this problem with, could you send me a link with the steps to cause this? I haven't had any selection issues for a while.

Just waiting on FoFiX at the moment.

I must have messed something up when changing the behavior of the New Song wizard.

Thanks for reporting that. I would have never noticed as I don't use that option.
I'll be working on this tomorrow. I may be able to get an update out in the afternoon.

Re: EOF 1.58
I really, really wish the "Adjust Notes" checkbox when changing BPM was checked by default. It only takes one lazy mistake, and if you don't catch it you end up having to rechart half your song

Re: EOF 1.58
The resnap feature might help you out a bit if you just need to re-align your notes to grid snap positions.
