I found a whammy bar .dll

Ok, GuitarZero, you've probably heard of it, has the ability to shift the pitch of the sound for whammy bar use by 2 dynamic language libraries used by the game in the directory. One being of which is called shiftpitch.dll and the other is a Generic Sound library dll used by shift pitch.dll. Idk, but these could possibly two things that could help in whamy bar development. Im not a modder so ill leave that up to the experts.

If you guys want me to post a link up for the .dlls, just say so. cuz if nobodys interested, then screw it.

I don't think it's possible without incorporating the libraries into the FOF code.

And, it would have to be compatible with Python, I think.

Are .dll files even compatible with python? I thought they were for C++.

That probably won't be a suitable solution, as those quite sure are Wondows-only-DLLs. Copyright issues might add to this, and the problem remains that virtually all user-made songs don't have a seperate guitar track.

I really don't, and most people who want whammy, care if there are second tracks or not, we still want it. No, those .dll won't help us get any closer than we already are.

I've got GZ, and I'm pretty sure they're only there for star power, and won't shift the pitch. I wish people on this forum would stop acting like tremolo is such a terrible waste of time. So what if it's only functional for a tiny minority of the songs? Between Rock Band and the next two GH games, we've got plenty on the way.

See, just for ONE example, ctypes.

Generally, the statement "X is not possible in language Y" needs to be proven, as it's otherwise false for quite sure.
