even if I totally agree that for now, there is no way

well, we can't really get labels on cassettes.
there is a separate label.dae that projects the images, which makes it look like the cassettes have the image on them.

I've tried changing the mesh that is used to project the image and it only shows the mesh and not the image from label.png.
I listen to bands that don't even exist yet. ಠ_ಠ

Well, right when I started getting comfortable with blender this whole lighting thing happens. I can't seem to do anything, and I really like the shape of these keys alot better. So anyone with experience with this stuff want to give me a hand? I'll pm the link to the file for you. Thanks

I was perusing this thread and saw that. I did no such thing, I simply suggested repeatedly that we SHOULD have support for drums as a third track.

I got really excited when I saw this thread, I thought someone had finally completed the 3 person mod. :( Cool notes and keys though, I'll definitely use the final versions. It looks way more precise than the circles.

Now im not talking about a 3 player mod here, im just talking about on a "per song" basis. Drums are easy to do.
If you can fret a song you can do drums.. its that simple. Instead of fretting for a bass guitar or lead guitar, you fret for the drums.
Remember you can have a total of 6 different instrument tracks you can work with. Guitar, Rhythm, Bass, Guitar CoOp , rhythm CoOp, and Bass CoOp. So it could easily be implimented into any exsisting song, You just have to do an extra instrument track thats all. :)

But when you choose your part, the drum track would have to be called "bass guitar" or "rythm guitar", which would be misleading. I think he means we need to be able to select "Drums" from the part menu.

The ideal Rock Band mod in my mind has::
- Up to 3 scrolling instrument parts
- Works with the lyrics mod
- Rock Band notes and keys
- Help from songmakers to start doing drum parts for popular songs

Yeah , For the moment it would have to be like that, but surely if when the poster makes a thread about the song, all he has to do is say something like, Part guitar = guitar, Bass = Bass & bass CooP = Drums.

I had to do the same for one of my songs coz it used 2 different violins, a viola and a cello.

Alltho i think that would be a minor Code change to rename say PART BASS COOP to Drum, ( i dont do code so im not sure) but id say its prolly no more different to changing the Difficulty names ( to the GH ones )

HeruLuingul - give me about 5 mins im just doinga quick example song, using 2 guitars and drums, i just gotta test ingame and then ill post the link.

Awesome. I'm glad to see people finally getting a little excited over the concept. It must be the fact that Rock Band is the only hope for the future of guitar games.

Hey guys its done

Its only about 25 seconds long, sounds like crap, but what the hey it works.

ok it has 3 different instrument tracks.

Guitar = Main guitar track
Bass = Bass line guitar
Lead = THE DRUMS

Im not really looking for feedback on how good it is ( i know its crap ) :)

Have a look and maybe get inspired to do drums on your Custom songs

Any way heres the LINK

Was synth the right choice for an example? Anyway, I get the point. Shall we lay guidelines for the Drum songs?
Rule #1: Orange fret is Bass Drum.

Okay! That should keep everyone in line.
