I like this idea quite a bit. I'm not sure I'm interpreting it the same way as you, but the way I'm envisioning it is this:

I have all my folders organized alphabetically. So when I'm in the 'D' folder, and I feel like playing an 'E' song, I have to press escape, press down five times (since it puts me back at the top of the list every time) and then press enter to get to the 'E' folder.

Using the left/right idea, I could just press right inside the 'D' folder and have it put me in the 'E' folder.

Great idea. Sort of like the PSP. I would think it might take a little longer to load the song select screen, but if it only laoded the folder you have open it shouldn't be too bad.

Capo hasn't been around much lately either, so I doubt it'd have much of a difference, if what you want is a quicker release.

I'm knew to FoF, but i've been following these forums for a while, i'm very impressed with Rogues work, i'm looking forward to 4.0, i played unmodded on the latest version for a good month, or two... recently downgraded and using a few mods, it's amazing
