Since this thread is so long I figure it saves time to just say it.

While using EOF I have a problem with the playback synchronization. When I play the song from the start it runs perfectly with the notes I've placed, but when I skip back a few seconds or so it will set the music ahead by a fraction of a second or so, causing a big bother with synchronization. I have set A/V lag correctly and whatever, but it still wouldn't matter. Any easy fixes? BTW, my PC is more than enough for this program.

Try adjusting your settings some more. I use:
Buffer size: 6144
CPU Saver: Max (slider bar to the far right)
Smooth Playback
Disable VSync

And your claim about your PC is meaningless in general. I was able to get my old 1.8GHz Celeron to work smoothly with EOF, but that was if it wasn't burdened with much else in the background.

Alright I'll try it out.

I meant to save the extra post of "What hardware does your PC have?". Like if someone thought I had some kind of 2 decade old PC.

Edit: Ok I made those changes and it seems to be going a little better, although I have to rewind more than 2 seconds for it to reset to the actual song time. Otherwise it will keep playing from the part I stopped it at for a second.

If you're getting skipping, using a larger buffer (or changing one of the other settings I mentioned) may be your best bet. Make sure that you change your AV delay if you alter the buffer size, because it may have an effect on whether the audio and the chart visuals are in sync. Do remember that EOF's AV delay has nothing to do with the chart's sync, and you can always verify chart sync with the metronome and note clapping.

Wait, so we CAN'T chart vocals yet?

Well I'm just giving up because nothing is working. I just don't understand how something could have that much of problem on my pc only. I tried buffer, av delay, all sorts of things in mixture that you said and nothing helped. It still had the sync issue. Isn't there a program very similar like GH's song maker?

Your computer might just have some problems, make sure the video card has decent OpenGL support, in case that's what EOF is using (I cannot remember). Let me confirm this: The problem is that playback loses sync with the chart if you rewind it in the middle of playback? If that's the case, does it correct the sync if you stop and start playback again?

Ya, whenever I reset the whole song it's fine. Although, I am not gonna just rewind the whole song to fix something 3 minutes in.

I didn't mean reset. I meant pause/resume, ie. with the spacebar. I've never had a playback desync problem in EOF that didn't get corrected by hitting spacebar twice. Also please confirm which version of EOF you're using, as well as whether you happened to use any previous versions that worked fine.

Is there an option of some sort that forces every note to the nearest beatline?

That would be Select All, set grid snap to 1/4 and use Note>Resnap. You can change the grid snap value to get them to move to intervals smaller than the nearest quarter measure, but 1/4 would relocate the selected notes to the nearest beat markers.

Well it ONLY desyncs when i pause and resume. I deleted this a while back since I had no luck with it, but I got the latest version as far as I knew and I have never used this program before.
