Re: EOF 1.58
So, do you have at least two star power sections? Make them with the note tab. Then make a solo section with the note tab.

Thanks, that did it.

Wait i looked in the change-logs and could not find anything, can you add support for specific drum rolls, like when you hit a bunch of notes then the green note at the end?

Re: EOF 1.58
I believe drum fill sections have to be marked as a "big rock ending" in the middle of the drum chart. You might want to look it up to verify that information though.

Re: EOF 1.58
And as per the documentation, "guitar strum" edit mode requires a "strum" button/keypress to register each note. What you're asking for is an interesting idea, but it isn't functionality that exists in EOF yet. The reason that this kind of input method would be problematic is that even if you perceive that you are hitting pads at the same time, you'll probably be hitting them milliseconds apart, and it will show in the chart that they aren't placed at the same time. You'd have to go and edit the chart (ie. use the Resnap feature). That's why the strum was required for chords, as it would enforce that all the frets in the chord were placed at the exact same time.

Guitar Tap Only Allows One Note At A Time...
I could add a drum mode. All I would need to do is determine a reasonable time limit for how close separate notes can be together. If you hit the drum pads and there are only, for example, less than 100 ms between the times of the notes, they would be made into one chord and placed at the lowest time.

Re: EOF 1.58
I have a kind of nifty idea on that regard: The user could define their own time-sensitivity for note placement. Let's say somebody creates the click track and specifies that all drum hits during playback will register at 1/16 intervals and would round up or down to fall on such an interval on the chart. If two pads were hit close together but fall into separate intervals, they could still fall back to the timing for the earlier hit.

there you go.... and the solo section i am trying to add starts at the first note after the sp section at 1:26 and ends at the last note before the red & blue chord at around 1:41

Re: EOF 1.58
Yeah, there's something weird about that chart. It does look like the star power phrases aren't right. For example, if I select a note in a phrase and have the phrase remove, it leaves all other notes in the phrase marked for star power. This would likely happen if you marked the phrase for each note individually.
But even when I remove all SP phrases, save and reopen the chart, I still can't mark a solo phrase, so there's some set of conditions that can prevent solo phrase marking from working..

okay, so that song is just messed up?? well i can live with that.. but i am still having the problem (on other charts too) where neither the sp sections or solo sections show up in fof.. it still has random sp phrases and no solo sections...
i'll send you the file tomorrow..

Re: EOF 1.58
In case I missed this information earlier, which version of EOF was the chart created in? What OS are you using?
