That really depends on what resolution the game is in. But yeah, 800x600 is a good compromise between quality and load times.

i'm using Gimp 2.6 as image editor. It's a good software.
It's free, less than 30 mb.

It isn't complicated.
But i cant tell it here.

Currently, i'm using Linux (for a little time), so i cant make your requests. sorry
I tried to format my pc, but everytime i try to BOOT the windows cd-rom, my pc turn off...
I'll clean my pc tonight...
