Using winrar, or another extracting program, simply extract the .rar file into the FOF folder containing data, the .exe file and so on. WHALA, youv've updated!

Why do you want whats after 3.017 when there is alot of stuff fixed. GET 3.025 and shut up. As MFH's 1st post said "Remember, the latest official patch contains all fixes / features from the patches before it unless otherwise noted. " which someone has already posted but I am bringing up a point. When you have more things fixed, the game runs better. Now why do you want something slower and not reliable when you can upgrade and have everything fixed and the game runs smoothly? I dont see what you're problem with getting the next version is. Just upgrade to the latest and its all gone and done with.
1, because I dont feel like taking another bit of my time out on something that when I play it, after the first song I play it lags like hell.
2, it took FOREVER to install the first time and I dont feel like waiting that long again to **** re-install when I have all these songs and other **** in mine.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.025)
The "hopofreq" song.ini setting isn't working for the "less" setting. For some reason, it works for "more" (try Green Grass and High Tides, almost the whole intro should be HO/POs), but not for "less" (try Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria, there should be very few HO/POs). I haven't tested it for "normal" because I'm leaving that as the default.
I believe I have also figured out why the "HO/PO after chord" does not produce exactly the same HO/POs as in the real Rock Band. The HO/PO should only be allowed if the note in question is lower than the lowest note of the chord. For example, In Bloom - Nirvana. The first HO/PO after a chord was a green fret, which occurred after a red&blue fret chord. However, the green fret after the green&yellow fret chord was not a HO/PO. The only exception I have found to this rule is the yellow fret after a red&orange fret chord, but I can't see why... I don't know, here's a good youtube video of the song, see if you feel it's worth bothering to look into. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LyoAGuO_7c
Also, why doesn't "BASS GROOVE!" disappear after a while? Just another little thing...
I'll stop complaining about bugs now. On a lighter note, I've got more RB sound effects recorded and just need to fix them up and upload them somewhere. Mostly things like screw-up sounds for guitar and bass, a bass overdrive activate, and maybe I had a failure sound in there too. I'll figure it out when I feel like it.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.025)
Does anyone have a response or possible solution to the black screen problem? I deleted the original FoF game installation and the MFH-alarian mod still will not work. Still goes to a black screen. please someone help.
***edit*** apparently alt+enter worked, simple I know.
But now I'm trying to figure out why the control settings are not registering for my xbox USB guitar.

I have to plug in the guitar before starting FoF. Tried that?

Go to the first post and scroll down until you find 3.020. Download that patch. That is the patch that came right after 3.017.
It shouldn't take so long for it too install. After the patch is downloaded (which shouldn't take longer than a minute or two) you just copy those files into your FOF directory. (That also shouldn't take longer than about 30 seconds)
It also shouldn't erase your songs, so there should not be any worries there.
If that isn't what your looking for then I'm at a loss.
Just from now on if you have any update questions just read the first post instead of contributing to an argument that shouldn't have even happened, please.

I haven't played Rock Band but my guess is a HOPO after chord occurs if the single note after the chord is not one of the notes from the chord.

NOT TO BE AN ASS OR ANYTHING, BUT...
It's now possible, with a crapload of recoding, to move base from 1.2.451 to 1.3.330, due to increased stability and removal of Amanith dependancy.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.025)
I don't know Python from C++. I'm a fretter, not a modder, and I admit that...
It's just that some time ago someone said (in this thread) it would be a good idea to move to another Python, and someone else said that the Amanith dependancy stopped that.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.025)
No problem BSRaven, from your post i thought you had done it already.
I've opened and issue for it¹ and it pretty much sits on top of my TODO list. I'd be very happy to get rid of Amanith.
My only hope is that it doesn't significantly degrade performance.

Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.025)
The newest version of FOF 1.3 uses python 2.5 and the memory leak is no longer present as far as I can see, however it's built on 1.2.512, meaning there is no library.zip and it's harder to edit the source code. In fact I still haven't found anything other than the opengl library.
Edit::
Booya! Got it, the src folder is packaged with the linux build!
