If you want me to look into this seriously, you're going to have to provide a video with a logfile of that video's session, with HOPO Debug turned on.

you may not believe it but there IS problems with it. theres parts where i error almost all the time when strumming hopos, but if i turn the hopo system off im 100% perfect every time. that to me is proof positive that theres a problem.

record a video, and post your logfile... just like i did and he fixed.

EDIT: only in windows, in linux (ubuntu) run so great but a little lagy

-Random, inexplicable, unrepeatable hangs occur sometimes when loading the song list or loading a song for gameplay. Above-normal priority handling code is suspected

my game crash in every loading song (7 of 10 times) but now run great changin loading stage from random to default.

when game crash, in log file always stop in the same site..

i presume that ur using rb2 mod... so if its really rb2 mod, some stages are bad converted and make the game freeze, i remember seeing a post with the stages fixed on the RB2 mod thread.

mfh, there's a bug. If I turn on
Preload Glyph Cache
, the game will freeze at the loading screen when we want to choose song. The game will stuck at the
Browsing Collection
screen. Why is this happening?

ok... imgoofygoober... I had no idea I needed to clarify this, but... regarding the bug you posted....

-Bug: "iteration over non-sequence" for custom songs report post, log

when you post a bug, and then you post a log file that is supposed to show me what gets written to the log file when this bug happens.... you have to upload the log file from a session where you actually got the bug. I just looked through that log file and there is no "iteration over non-sequence" error anywhere in there. That looks to me like a log file from a properly-functioning FoF. No error logs anywhere. And if you saw this error on your screen, you can be sure it was logged. But, it looks like you played again since creating the bug and so the log you uploaded is useless.

The whole point is to make it very simple for me to reproduce the bug so I might have a chance at tracking it down. If I can't easily reproduce the bug, then the next best thing is a log containing that bug... if I can't even get that, well then you're just going to have to deal with the bug. It doesn't bother me, my game works fine.

I wonder sometimes... do some of you just want to waste my time, or what?

Don't hold your breath for the next version... I need a break.

I have a feature/code request... Note that this is not to MFH, mainly because he doesn't normally have much to do with graphics coding, and also because he deserves a break after all those optimisations (and bugfixing thereof).
The problem is the overdrive bar. This is being discussed quite a bit in the Rock Band 2 theme thread. In RB2, the overdrive bar stretches the entire width of the fretboard, but in making a theme, if the overdrive bar is not the correct size, the filling of the overdrive bar renders at strange positions. [see the pictures in the second half of this post for a good example]
I've looked at the code that renders the overdrive bar, but I don't know how to make an algorithm that would work better without knowing the image's width (as a fraction of the screen space) and I don't know how to get that. Another possible solution might be to render the overdrive bar to the fretboard, with positioning done in the theme.ini or something.
I know neither of these things are simple (or I would have done it myself) I'm just putting the call out to other coders, if they have some time to take a look and see if they can get something working... It would be great to no longer be limited by the size of the image for the overdrive bar at the very least...

OK... I made a test song to figure out where evil-doer's HOPO problem is. He's right - after you get a HOPO streak going, and you strum a HOPO, and then try to pull-off to a lower HOPO, it doesn't register. I've located and fixed this problem; the HOPO system should be bug free now. To encourage testing to confirm this statement, I'm releasing 3.020 beta 1.

I would use quotes but links appear yellow in quotes and are quite tough to read. So:

--------------------------------
In progress: 3.020
Done:
++Fixed game freeze / hang caused by "Accuracy Words Pos" = "Center" (SVN rev 41's GuitarScene.py)
++Used rubjonny's FoF icon instead of the old style icon
++Fixed issue where the song time countdown, once it reaches zero, starts counting back from 60 while the music track finishes (if it finishes after the midi, as a lot of songs do) (SVN r42)
++Fixed Bug: Strumming a HOPO before pulling off to another doesn't work correctly - post -- (SVN r43) beta testers: 3.020 beta1

for some reason it runs ridiculously slow, like 1 fps, i cant even use the menu because it takes 10 seconds for the stupid thing to move after i press it, it might be because its .rar ive extracted a game once before and it did the same thing, ive never had the problem with an installer, but the only installer for your mod is uploaded by some retard one megaupload, one of the slowest lamest sites ever (going at 20 kb/s strong) is there a mirror or something for it, because this is kinda lame
